Please, please, PLEASE don't take this the wrong way. I just read to this last page and my eyes are actively trying to kill me for it.
I'm not trying to start a fight here, but I would like to put out there something that I believe may have been evaded; again this is just postulation but I feel that it wasn't recognized in my scanning of the scuffles being played out via text on this thread.
Suprentus ( God bless ya for serving ) has the opinion, that I find logical and frankly agreeable, that even though this is the off topic discussion section of the forums, that it is to be reserved for BT/MW threads that don't fall into the categories of General Discussion or others, but still BT/MW related. It seems to me, and I agree, that he feels in a manner similar to this:
The internet is literally littered with MLP and other Bronie/Furry forums and sites, and those are the appropriate places for such discussions. Not a site pertaining to this specific Sci-Fi/Military Fiction genre. With this I agree, and is it too unreasonable to approach it from that point of view?
This is the off-topic section, of the off-topic forum. I don't quite know why people don't understand this concept. If you have something MW/BT related, but not on-topic with the game, it goes in Off-Topic Discussions. If you wish to discuss anything else that has nothing to do with BT/MW, it goes in Jettisoned Communication.
People are people, and it's common behavior to find groups that share a common interest, and align with them. The more interests they share in common, the closer the bond.
In other words, because some of us share a love for BT, and ponies, we get along much better than if we socialize with just a generic group of bronies on another website, who may not like BT.
The whole point of having the Jettisoned Communication forum, is so people can post about things they enjoy, outside of MW, and find others who share a common interest.
Would you be equally as mad if I made a topic wondering who was a skydiver, and talking about skydiving? There's plenty of skydiving forums out there. Why discuss it here?
Why talk about Star Wars when there's Star Wars forums?
Why talk about YouTube videos when YouTube clearly has a comment section.
