SCORCH
there. might even exchange some of the ammo for more heatsiks or a bigger engine. and it has ams to disturb those bad lurmers. 88 point alphas. 4 of em... 3 if ya dont want to overheat. It will kill enemy assaults. because it can.
or the good old dual gauss dual ppc :
SCORCH2gauss2ppc (edit forgot ammo lol)
not as good as a Kodiak... but if ya insist.
MAD-IIC lasers
standart IIC variant build hot due to lasers. still good.
MAD-IIC-A
4 cmpulse and 3 cuac5. it runs okay... id usualy take the meds out and stick to a smaller engine and ppcs but whatever.
MAD-IIC-C
for that lbx 10 x2 and 5 cmpl feel. life is good. stronger equiv to the standart IS Mad build with teh 2 lbx 10 and 4 mpl rocks.
these are better than many other assaults... even tho the kdk 3 is over it... and the SB might be a better alternative due to mask... and for pure dakka theres the Ultra Dire Whale. otherwhise? go ahead and pick this one. its durable due to good hitboxes if you twist and can bring enought firepower to onehit enemy heavys while not being as slow or shortranged like IS assaults or most clan assaults to boot.
sure it runs hot but the heat dissipation is realy good too.
OP's build is terrible ...why u do that?

Maybe you could strip the engine also not only the ammo and armor .. ahh you can't.

Yep, AC20 is brilliant.. in some situation. I like canyon network because there is enough room to snipe and brawl also. But we have more and more bigger and opened maps. You will be hunted down from 500+ by 3xclpl+ac10x or 2clpl+2cuac5+(4srm6 in close range) or 2xgauss +ecm. And as an Atlas pilot I know that AC20 is very very vulnerable.
The problem is that PGI generates inflation in the game and TTK is shorter and shorter. Balance is easy from engineer perspective, just pure math.

There should be only one ring, and it should be balanced.

This Mech is so OP I haven't even bothered to drop in any of mine yet and decided to master some of my oldies instead...

Exactly the same firepower. Well.. almost. SB has only 1 ballistic hardpoint.
SB: (imaginary 2xuac5): http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5fbef520bb700d7
Scorch: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...421750130889125
I think PGI should release well balanced mechs and should consider mech size, max speed, empty space, shape and some other attributes and these things should be balanced. It is not too difficult science.

You are so screwed man... there I said it. Had to be said!
Your post was trolling... why is the MAD IIC suddenly P2W?
What kind of nerf should the MAD IIC get according to you?
Increase its hit boxes to Direwolf size?
Give if negative quirks?
Nerf the sh1t out of every weapon system it can carry?
MAD IIC initial release is not overpowered just like the Kodiak was. Its just a solid mech.
If you get constantly killed by it right now it might be because
everybody still levels his MAD IIC so there are disproportionally high in number.

Oh and it's worse variant is under even the low scores of the event.
Do some research to past events before you start asking for things that can be verified with less than 5 minutes worth of research.

And by you, I mean your team. So 5 times out of ten your going to be boned. and the other times that scorch is going down at range with a lame score.

Kinda light on the ammo, and kinda slow for something so short ranged (still faster than most Atlases, of course). I'd trim 4 points of armor, cut the AMS, swap to a 375XL, engine-slot all the sinks (same total amount), downgrade the SRMs to quad 4-packs, and go for 4 tons of SRM ammo and 5 tons of LB20X... Still have ammo and heat issues, though not as pronounced, and you get an extra 7.1 kph out of the deal. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...734aee964dab4c8
Mind you, my Scorch is fairly different from what you're running, but it gets results. Mid to long range firepower in the arms, save the SRMs for in-fighting and running cooler than the lasers. Unfortunately, my build is also hot as hell if you try to fire everything in rapid succession, the ammo is tight, and it's a bit sluggish. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...6703d7b34be88e6

I play with a 30ms ping on eu-servers. Sometimes a full 50 DMG alpha with double gauss and double ppc vanishes. I looked through my games and i would say it happens when you are between 30° and 65°. try it. had a game where i put 5 alphas from that angle into a stationary marauder IIC who was snipeing. he didnt even turn to look at me. 5th shot somehow was super effective. Killed the mech that had 90% health, as if it made the server realize all the previous shots that didnt register. Also some hits into the side are registered in the legs on the other side of the mech. But i think that is pgi and their general problem with hitreg. Happens on other mechs too sometimes.

Things do get wonky like that, I've been oneshot in my MAD IIC and I've one shotted a few myself with splat Scorch, there were times however where it felt like I tanked hundreds of damage, like being splattered by several lurm boats in Polar and having time to walk into cover with half the armor left

I also had three 60+ point alpha's vanish into the face of a Cicada Saturday night while using my MAD-IIC. It as Domination on Polar, popped over the crest of a ridge and caught him flat footed. Full alpha to center mass....didn't even register as a hit. Did it again about 20 seconds later, his CT armor only registered yellow. Was getting frustrated at this point so made it my life goal to kill the Cicada so chased him into the teeth of the enemy, fired again and again nothing. Died right after.
So honestly, the problem is hit registration, not the MAD-IIC. Also saw a ton of rubber banding this weekend which further reinforces hit registration issues.

I dunno, man. From the front-loaded, those are the perfect angles to have your damage easily get split among arm, side , and center, even on the IS MAD.
Shoot it in the hind-quarters.

The back has hitreg problems too. I have a few times on video where i hit em dead center into the back and one of the legs gets way more than full dmg. Good for me but meh..... Hitreg, mech hitboxes, dont care what it is.I am waiting for it to stop. I have the feeling that hitreg took an overal hit when the woldchampionship servers went life. I had massive problems there when trainign against my team and in the actual games. Srms are anything but relieable. Gauss was semi ok. PPC are forgetable and lasers needed some wiggeling before the crosshair started to blink. Like if you wanted to shoot at the right side - shoot torso first then move the crosshair a bit so that it statrs blinking when it was fixed on teh part you wanteds to hit. Few weeks into the WC games the problems started to translte into the normal game. Ever since then its been horrible. I ahd days where i couldt pull a singe headshot on mech that didnt move for 20 secs. Hit the fuckign center of the Headhitbox but got located to ct. and then other days - i decapitated 3 mechs while hitting their shoulder.
So comming to think of it - might be the hitreg and not the mech. Perhaps i noticed it morebecause i was thinking aobut the hitboxesof the new mech while hitreg sucked hard and gave me a false positive..

Yeah Hit Reg has been horrible. I think it has something to do with the latest patch to be honest. Been having nothing but problems since then. Game will crash to desktop just as I drop into a match about 1 in every 8 times where I am often finding myself coming on back on either under fire or cut off from my team. Rubberbanding, something I haven't seen on a regular basis in as long as I can remember happened to some degree or another almost every match and like you mention, Hit Reg is just friken horrible. Sometimes I feel like only about half my damage is being recorded.
However it would be a mistake to say the Marauder IIC is OP because of these issues because they are happening everywhere, not just with the Marauder IIC. People are probably noticing it more on them because there are 4-8 of them in each and every match right but but it is happening everywhere.
