Hey All,

I dont post very much but I love drawing mechs. Anyway, here is a Battletech inspired mech design. Obviously the low slung arms wouldn't be great for the whole meta thing but its fun to draw anyway. Didnt really base it on anything in particular but it has been mentioned that the cockpit in reminiscent of a Maddog. Anyway, just thought I would share

Enjoy

It's a pretty good sign when you look at a high quality drawing and you briefly think it's a well textured 3D render until you read the description.

I very much enjoy your chosen color scheme! I hope we see more from you in the future!

This looks incredible! I can't wait for one that features ballistics or missile racks.

Did you give it a name? Since I assume that's not cannon.

May I ask how you do such things? Completely digital? Mouse or touchpad? I myself am currently doing pencil sketches and transferring them to a photoshop knock-off for color and shading using mouse and layers, but am not able to achieve what is shown here. I ask in the interest of improving my abilities.

I should probably ask for texturing tips though... that may be my biggest need for improvement...

Very good stuff there! Plenty of people think my work is pretty good, but you have me far outclassed! Posted Image

Hey,

So yeah I have a wacom cintiq tablet as drawing with a mouse on a computer is like painting with a brick. I do use photoshop from time to time but Ive been using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro for a while now. Its a heck of a lot cheaper than Photoshop and does some really nice things. Texturing is tough for sure. You really need to make sure the base render is solid first.

I gotta admit I dont frequent the forums heaps here. Is there a link to your stuff available?

Cheers!
