I ain't conceding to no clans!
Personally, I consider the Dominion as a special snowflake. It's no Freebirth and yet it's no Clanner. I see it as a nation with a huge mix of diverse cultures that diversity is their very own culture. It's like the most non-racist faction

It's the most Mary Sue faction is what it is. There is nothing blander in BattleTech than the Dominion, and they have even thicker plot armor than Davion ever got. Not only does nothing interesting ever happen to them, they also never lose. Yck!

I didn't realize the bonus mission payouts didn't happen when you lose. Why would any IS solo /small group player do a 35 minute (sometimes) cw drop over a couple QP missions?
Can't wait till my contract is up so I can switch back to skill stack/op mech stacked Clans!
Please tweet Russ about it
I wouldn't mind dropping with IS in 3 Battlemasters and a king crab
While clan tonnage gets nerfed to 200t or so
Aside from that
Some players stay for principle and lore reasons
There's more of those then one thinks

I know that if CDS didn't exist, I'd be off leading Steiner scout lances to war. Lore and faction love is a powerful thing.

For a faction that has a history of being stepped on over and roflstomped, I'd say it's a fair balance.
The FRR arguably suffered the most in the Clan Invasion. They were down to 7 planets (from about 80), which if I remember my lore right, is smaller than some Periphery factions. Tukayyid, one of the 7 remaining planets even became a sacrifice for the battle that would determine the Clan's invasion outcome. Not to mention the Drac's long occupation before the Clan Invasion

Generalist applies to Clan omnis only. Clan battlemechs are every bit as specialized as IS mechs, except better.

I mean really, a lot of IS mechs can run dual LB10X with recycles of 1.3 seconds. That's just an example of what's available if you pick the right mech variants.
You mean Legend Killer? That mech's behind paywall. As for other LBX mechs... lol.

If you're losing this badly you're gonna lose just as hard on clan side too, the organized units play in big mans of 12 usually so you'll never be carried by them, and clan pugs are just as ineffective and awful as IS pugs, there's just less of an opportunity for them to totally ruin their mech builds due to omnimech tech. [but you still get the occasional idiot who goes out of their way to put a Standard 200 engine in their Jenner IIC and then brings a single LRM20 on one ear]

that it does. clan battlemechs are something else. i saw them as being a major source of op when i purchased the hunchie and jenner iic mechs, and again with the kodiak. iics are just having your cake and eating it too. as part of a drop deck it does pay off to have a specialist or two with a couple of generalists. very few is mechs approach that generalist mentality, you can build them as such but its far from ideal.

I've been pugging in clans no problem. Getting 1 MIL+ almost every match thanks to this free holiday premium time. In fact I've been winning on clan side so much I just assumed you get vthe contract bonus even on a loss. I thought I would switch and lend a hand to IS for a week but it ends up the IS don't pay their hordes and expect them to just volunteer their time for free as they pilot inferior mechs. Soo.... I will be speed zerging quckplay for easy cash for a week till I can hop on the clan gravy train again $$$$$.

If you want a challenge you go IS.
If you want to really have it and be a tough-as-nuts dude, you go get Urbies and drop a triple Urbanmech Deck in FW.
Urban Warfare FTW !
Everyone else is just Noobtubers.

The fact you think clans are "op" tells me all I need to know about you. As an Is player, providing you leverage your quirks, you have all you need to beat clans.
You could also try getting on the various TS hubs and actually speaking to other players and getting a little organised.

Thank you for letting everyone know you are going to be part of the problem and not part of the solution.
Enjoy your bandwagon, lemming.

TBF, bandwagoning is the easiest way to have PGI notice something is amiss and do something about it. Bandwagoning had helped to nerf the KDK-3 few months ago, for example.
