On 1 hand it would help out IS mechs at least a bit, and particularly mechs with sub-250 engines (although sub-250 engines should stop getting the shaft regardless).

On the other hand, should we really need to do that to give Inner Sphere a helping hand? It seems like there's more appropriate methods instead without more or less inventing advantages out of thin air.

Maybe that is the sort of thing we need though.

Clan Xl on a clan Battlemechs obsolete Clan STD Engine on 99 % of clan Battlemechs. PGI doenst really care.... so thats not an argument.
