Wouldn't have minded seeing the Black Lanner on the clan list, would give clans a second 55 ton mech and is more or less a 10 ton heavier Shadowcat with MASC putting it up to 151kph with a healthy amount of firepower. Even has 5 variants good to go.

Also would have liked to see the Hellion for the clans as well, even though it has like two variants that work within timeline due to lack of future weapons in MWO.

Here's an insane crazy idea:

Get rid of the timeline, unlock most weapons so any mech can use most weapon.
(Tech such as: Tact-com, CC, BAP, ECM would stay locked though)

Since we may never get new tech this idea would be the next best thing.

IS and clan could run a mix of clan and IS energy/ballistics/missiles(except GR)

IS tech will have cooler, faster cooldowns but shorter range and clan will have hotter, longer cooldowns for longer range and bit more damage.

Pretty much IS tech would be good for short range fights while clan tech is good for long range.

Rough idea and there is other tweaks to idea I haven't listed but it'll make new released low tier mechs viable and allow more varied builds, I think.

Bolded for truth. Mixing weapon tech would absolutely demolish the balance this game has fought for up to this point. We're still inbalanced, but allowing crosstech would just toss the entire situation into a blender. Crosstech only worked in the previous titles because of the salvage system and it being singleplayer. In a multiplayer game, crosstech would make almost every mech out there use Clan weaponry.

Get rid of the timeline, so you can have up to 3063 mechs. You should not wait for 2026 to get the Novacat or the Uziel.

I want both the Nova Cat und Uziel so someone can remake the MW4 Vengence intro, something about the guy in a Vulture final stand really brings the mood for Uziels and NovaCats.

Not really when you think about it.

How many IS DHS can you fit on an IS mech vs clan mech to overcome clan weapon heat.

If IS tech is locked then IS can only use IS DHS, there won't be enough IS DHS to overcome clans weapon heat if you're packing 4xERML and ect.

IS would only be able to use a small amount of clan weapons at a time due to it's heat.

For every IS DHS, clans can fit one more C-DHS than IS.

The clan list was a bit short on mediums so I would like to suggest the Black Lanner.

The IS votes are depressing... geez Posted Image

Annihilator in the lead, Stinger/Wasp second, at least one (potentially) good mech in the Top 3 with the Uziel.

Another 65t mech on forth, and alllll those votes for allllll those useless IS Omnis. I am not even a diehard fan, but Hauptmann with 10 votes over the Nightstar?

Really, guys?

It is worse considering not a single variant is possible with the tech of MWO. Each and every variant would have to be PGI created. I would not mind the Hauptmann if we had the tech, though. But we have not. It makes no sense.

The Hauptmann is at 133 and the Nightstar is at 143.

Still, I agree the voting isn't encouraging.

What really surprises me is that the Warhammer IIC dramatically shot up and is almost tied to the Mad Cat MK.2. Not really surprised with the Firemoth taking the lead but wished more people would vote for the Rifleman IIC. It was doing good there in the beginning until all of a sudden Warhammer IIC/Stone Rhino votes out of nowhere. Oh well, PGI please release the rest of the classic MW:2 mechs in 2017 and I'll be happy.

It would actually make balancing easier, as all mechs would run the best weapons and all mechs would run the Clan XL.

This would result in all quirks being removed from all mechs except the really bad clan and I.S ones.

The down side would be this would make the game sterile and pointless to anyone that even cares slightly about the lore as the games just become another version of Hawken or Heavy Gear Assault
