A pure urban map...that did be nice. You can also have several different urban maps. Like skyscraper maps, middle sizes building maps or what about suburban part with smaller 2-3 storeys/floors?

Imagne the mechs towering over small buildings, smashing through gardens and buildings, crushing your favorit car...would need destrutable envoirment though. Just imagne a perfectly fine little supurb area with all the small gardens and neat buildings and after you are down you see the destructive power a mech realy weilds.

Sure there would be little in the way of hiding, except you have some hills in there but thats how it is.

Also what about a Citymap in some place like San Francisco. Fighting up the hill between building that are about mechsize and some skysrapers in between.

I agree to this request AS LONG AS only Urban 'mechs are allowed to drop on it.

No other 'mechs allowed.

Be careful what you ask for, they will just slap "sand" textures on polar and call it a new map.

*points at Tourmaline*

Unless you mean a more terrestrial desert. Which would probably end up being like a warmer Polar Highlands in topography.

Yeah, sand dunes and such. Could have dust storms on it too.

In the center put a REALLY wide and VERY deep crater too, for giggles and to be opposite of so many other maps that have a raised central point to gravitate to (like HPG Manifold, Mining Colony, River City, Caustic Valley, Tourmaline Desert, Alpine Peaks, Canyon Network... just to name a few...).

You have a wide deep area in Frozen City and I like that.

As for the dessert or desert?.... Anyway I think a Sandstorm that blocks the view could be a nice addition to make it different to Polar Highlands.

Nah, it's a semi deep valley maybe 500 meters across on average, I'm talking a 1000+ meter wide, 1000+ meter deep crater!

THAT would be interesting!

i agree giant urban map would be awesome, loads of buildings and twisting roadways.
Could even have an underground 'highway' mimicing the old forest colony caves. also would buy Supernova if added.

I miss the old Frozen City. I support the idea of a pure urban map where brawling reigns supreme, no matter what the meta is. A temperature around 35 to 40*C would probably be good. That way, someone could bring in anything, but heat would be a bigger factor than in the old Frozen City (-80*C).

(edit), added on.

Yes, a real desert map.

Another city/urban map, no,
we have 5 that's enough.

Xengk's map is what should be the kind of map the final battles in FW should be fought over, not some nonsense with a gun

This was suggested years ago in the never read features and suggestions and FW forums.

If they do make a big urban map it would be great if they could make a hot, temperate and cold version. PGI could then give each planet an overall climate given the variety of maps we have.

Finally, if it matches canon (such as Tikonov) a section of the map should be reserved for a mech factory.

Useless unless map voting is removed.

The energy boaters will always vote for a colder map.

The snipers will vote for a more open map.

The missile boaters will also vote for a more open map.

If you want to see how a good urban map scaled for vehicular warfare looks like using the Crytek engine, try Armored Warfare. There are maps there that looks perfect to pound pavement with a mech.
