it was a poorly made knockoff

Mind telling me how it was "poorly made"? Unless there's some fluff floating around that I don't know about, it was up to quality standards in regards to production.

Except, that can be done better by a 60 ton heavy.

That amount of hyperbole is... impressive, honestly. I don't know how to respond to something that ridiculous. All I'm really getting from you is that you're really pissy about the existence of Clan Diamond Shark in general, or are just trying to **** with me. I'm hoping the latter, because I can at least understand why you'd want to do that.

How video games would still look if competitive gamers were devs...... nothing to add a nanosecond of lag.

I'm still waiting for a new X-Wing game. I miss them so much.

I'd probably vote for the Blood Asp, mostly because it would bring more visual variety as opposed to the similarity of design among the TBR, MAD, MAD-IIC and TBR MK II.

I also want to put giant ballistics on my shoulders.

It was poorly made because number 1) its a battlemech(that makes it inferior to Omnis) and number 2) it is a 90 tonner, which is about the worst weight for an Assault you could possibly imagine.

I don't even consider Clan Diamond shark to be a real Clan. They are Clan Sea Fox.

Battlemechs being inferior to omnis is mostly only true for long-term engagements where you have a large amount of supplies for (relatively) quick repairs. Labeling an entire chassis crap because it's a Battlemech is... odd. Especially considering something like a giant icon of Clan Ghost Bear, the Kodiak, was a Battlemech.

90 tonners being bad? They're actually one of the best assault weights IMHO. It's the perfect blend of speed, firepower, and armor, at least on the Clan side.

Oh, and Clan Diamond Shark is one of the few Clans that wasn't absolutely terrible. If you want to classify them as "not a Clan" because they weren't **** nozzles, fine by me.

Another way to look at it is that 90 tonners lack the speed of 80 tonners and the firepower/armour of 100 tonners. Thats what makes them bad.

Clan Diamond shark is Clan Sea Fox with an alias, nothing more, nothing less.

So... You don't like middle-ground mechs? Having a mix of both is usually a benefit, not a downside.

It's my experience that middle ground mechs tend to loose big time to more specialised mechs.

All i can say about the kitty mk2 is, i will LOL if PGI decides to allow it to both factions just as the sea foxes sold it to both sides (ROFL if they only allow it on IS since the clanners didn't want any Posted Image).

I'd instantly get myself blocked from Russ' twitter and probably banned from these forums if that absolute garbage happened. Both because, well, the obvious of wanting it for the Clans, and also allowing mix tech.

Eh if it's only for IS it wouldn't be mixtech, that version was stripped of all clantech if i recall.

he's trolling all the 80ton mechs in game sucks, gargoyle is under armed, zeus is meh and i think thats all 80ton assaults unless i missed something. mad cat > gargoyle, grasshoper > zeus

90ton is really high tonage, almost max of 100tons.

on topic i think mad cat mk 2 should be released before blood asp or it risks being power creeped.
blood asp was a really good mech, lots of tonnage available, better armored then executioner while being more mobile then dire slow.

Er, what now? The Zeus is a really nasty brawler that tends to get ignored often, allowing it to pull off stunts that would have been impossible with other assaults, and the Gargoyle is a rather powerful wingman mech, running alongside things like the Kodiak to fend off annoying Mediums and Lights. 90 tons is also limited in that it lacks the 100 tonner's firepower, while being outmanoeuvred by the 80-85 tonners.

i can do gargoyles job in a timberwolf, i can pick black night or warhammer or grasshoper and make a just as good if not superior brawler.

80ton mechs are outclassed by 85ers

Er, what? If your brawling in a Zeus with just lasers, your doing it wrong in a very major way. There is a reason the Champion Zeus is armed with a trio of ASRM6s, you know. Thats where the majority of firepower is located.

Viper BAD... Black Python.... possibly worst design EVER

I definitely 100% agree with you, but I have seen some art versions that deviated from the original design a bit that aren't bad/kind of good.
