I have a few friends that have signed up, and a few with founders packs. We're all in Europe - and none of us have beta access.

Do any you guys know anyone from Europe that's in beta? I'm just wondering if we're getting the same opportunity for closed beta access or not - can't seem to find any solid info on the subject.

Edit: I'm just looking for some dev clarification - or if anyone can point me to a post that would clear this up? Is closed beta only for the US, or are non-US also getting invites?

Unfortunately we won't know because of the NDA.

They couldn't tell about it if they were, and if they did they and you would loose beta status.

Yeah, that's the problem. Some Dev clarification would be nice on this.

I know some of the stuff for "Operation: Inception" specified NA only - but they then said that that's only because technically they can't guarantee performance for those outside the US atm. I just want to know if we're all getting the same chance to get into beta or not?

Wait, so me buying a founders package and being from europe might not have a snowballs chance in hell of getting into the Beta because i live in Europe?

We ARE getting on on AUG 7 at least right?

Actually there were several posts by someone who "have a friend from eu" in the beta and the devs also stated that eu players can get into the beta.

"Can" get into beta isn't "Have" got into beta.

To tell you the truth after a few quick searches i couldn't find the post either, but i remember quite well since it was in a similar topic.

The guy explained he and his friend purchased legendary packages and not long after he "caught" his friend playing MWO beta and he also mentioned that both of them were from Germany if i remember correctly. Anyway i'll continue searching for it.

Well, take a look at the MWO Primer or in the Dev's threads. It doesn't matter from where you are,, all founders have the same chance for Beta access. It was said often enough.

I'd imagine that Euro's could get in, but wouldn't receive the best ping. But best luck for us to get in! (Of course, since I didn't order a Founders package, I won't be getting in.)

Ping is overrated.
I played Unreal1 back in '98 with a 26k modem, later with 56k and pings around 300ms. Still possible to do headshots on moving targets, just have to aim outside of the Monitor

if eu people were in beta, they couldn't tell you due to the NDA stipulation.

I agree and with EU/AUS players you can test more then with only US players.

Read that again friend. It doesn't mention beta for European players at all. It merely states that we can play on NA servers - presumably once they go live at launch. And yes you can buy founders, as I have - but we're only being guaranteed access from 7th August. Again, nothing solid about beta for non-US players.
