Nah nah nah.

Three cMPLs, for picking off components weakened but not quite finished off by the SRMs. You can get 6M/3E, so use 6M. And 3E.

Yeah..... you run that build yet? HMN is toasty at the best of times. I'll stick to my own style, thanks!

Gross, 3 cMPLs and 4 ASRM6s is waaaay too hot to be a suitable brawler.

Only if you were a Timberwolf... but you could do a little better I'm sure. :P

More like SPLs... you need all the DHS to cool this down.

No.

Worse yet - Jump sniping is an 'issue' (more like, a tactic perhaps to deal with the offset tonnage limits) in Invasion mode.

But the nerfs will hit hardest in scouting mode. Where jump sniping isn't an issue.

The supposed counter balanced trade off makes no sense.

Of all the nerfs happening tomorrow, the Huntsman nerfs have me scratching my head the most.

From my experience, the arms come of VERY easily, and the side torsos aren't much better.

I swear people said Huntsman CT is the bullet magnet.

From my experience the CT isn't terrible, but it can be a bit of a magnet if you don't twist, and I tend to get a pretty decent spread of damage between the torso sections most of the time. But the twisting tends to get the arms shot up, and their armor goes by FAST. It's weird because they really don't seem all that large, and you'd think the STs would take most the damage from the side.

I don't drive a lot of slow mediums, but damn the Huntsman feels squishy. It's hard to imagine it being an OP pop tart. Then again, a long range build seems like a good idea to me, given how fragile it is. Still, it hard to imagine it would be a significant threat.

So you are saying that the mech spreads damage across torsi well? That's good news.

I wouldn't say that, it is similar to the Hellbringer and Warhammer in that its side torsos are easier to isolate and shoot.

Do we have Huntsman's hitboxes mapped out? The list I have only goes up to NGyr.

At OP I don't think that the huntsman deserved nerfs. (Nor the warhammer or shadow cats and doubt the mg quirks on kit foxes, shadow cats and viper were game breaking either).

Huntsman nerf is completely uncalled for, it's an inferior chassis in every regard in the medium tree.

The only build that makes it unique is 8 missile hardpoints and even then, this gimmick is feast or famine, meaning it is overall mediorce

The more consistent builds with lasers/balistics are done much better by other mechs

I would say no, but I tried packing the same amount of firepower on an IS medium with a durable XL engine.

Nope. Can't do it.

I'd rather see them balance from the bottom up, though.

Buffing bad performers rather than nerfing the top performers.

depends on what you've mounted i the arms

Any missile system ads a huge protrusion that covers the whole torso

Ballistic weapons offer moderate cover

Lasers - 0 cover

Basically if you've mounted missiles on your arms and even minorly twist - arms will always come of first.

It actualyl has great hitboxes for missile brawling, not much else, not much else at all
