Why isn't damage working in this game? 194 damage to a mech and his ct doesn't even go orange. He was damaged before he even got to me and face tanks exactly 194 damage to front ct and shows none of it.

Whats going on? This is happening very often.

You're lagging, either internet wise, or brain wise.

Match score shows 194 damage. I only shot at 1 mech. Only at close rang from directly in front. This is happening all the time. The mech didn't even try avoid damage. He was like "I am not taking any damage how do you like that?"

So its not lag or on my end.

This example is extreme and is almost a sure bet was to send me to these forums. How is this allowed to go on?

HSR is perfect and NEVER fails to deliver damage.

Were you using SRM's/PPC or AC/20

These are the most common ghost no damage weapons for me. That is with a 15 ping, I've for sure seen damage get eaten by the hitbox black hole.

It happens often enough for me to agree with you that it happens, but not often enough to spoil my game. Also I take solace in knowing other people have the same problem.

And none of that precludes you from being mistaken about hitting only the CT. There are many mechs that can take 194 damage without dying.

I'd ask for more details, but that's foolish. We all know you don't have anything to show us.

What mech can take that kind of damage and not even go orange. He wasn't dodging he stood right in front of me knowing he wasn't taking damage. This is called "rage hacking".

Why is rage hacking happening so often?

I know for sure it was done so I would come to forums. After this happens for days straight do I continue to ignore it?

Yes I would take a break but I am trying for top spot on leader board this season and the trolls smell blood. I am in 1st place with a 90 match lead.

While Shadowplay does this, I’m not sure what the AMD alternative is.

Sure would be great to see these things taking place. And I'm sure PGI will be more responsive about it as well.

What kind of player can find cheaters, hackers, bugs and exploits every single match, and yet never even bother to hit +Alt+R?

The last place you want to ask for guidance or advice is a lightly moderated video game forum…

If it’s this big of a deal for you – maybe stop asking a cynical community, and instead just send in a ticket for them [PGI] to look at the match logs…
If it’s happening for DAYS STRAIGHT – then, no. Don't ignore it. Report it, maybe?
And if you have reported it… then keep reporting it to PGI whenever it happens. Names. Dates. Screenshots.. VIDEOS. They all help.

I wouldn't be that concerned about having the most wins, especially when you also have the most matches played.

If this thread is still going when I get home tonight, I will see if I can find the match from last week wherein I did 543 damage split between 2 mechs. It was hilarious and I was mocked mercilessly and deservedly for my utter inability to finish either of them. I was hitting legs and arms, and everything in between. How is that even possible you ask?

Because I was drunk and am fairly bad at this game that's how. No rage hacking involved just bad aim mixed with the shakes.
Still it was super fun.

Death's riddle might have it on his twtch channel...probably would have been this past Saturday if I am recalling correctly.

If you have a nvidia card, just have shadowplay on. You can save the last 5 minutes or however long you want whenever you see something odd happen.

Ive had some really strange results, but even the guy in charge of HSR (Neema IIRC) cant do much from the videos themselves as there is limited debugging tools available to see just how many shots did damage and how much on their end (as of last year at least, they might have made some tools to help them debug stuff).

Ive sent him a video of a LBX shot mysteriously vanishing without impacting the mech infront so weird stuff can and does happen.

Plays.tv, its the instagram for gamers. Installs automatically with all the latest AMD driver updates. Can be used for screen caps, 20 second clips and 20 minute long gaming sessions.
