Not likely, the Lasers are just light till the focal point applies enough photons to heat the surface of what it is focused on, and starts to cut through it.

Haha I knew there would be a counter to that, lol, just knew it somehow. I mean, sure relative to the atmosphere around it there would be a pretty stark contrast in heat temperatures, but there would also surely be some bleedoff of residual heat locally, likely to the tune of X degrees. Now whether that would be enough to cook Captain Comstar pants, would be another topic of debate entirely
