With hardpoints and whatnot in the game, I would say the heaviest mech with the most missile hard-points? The heavier the mech is and the more missile hardpoints it has, then you can stack on more missile pods.

well, those are 3 different weight classes, so you can't really say any particular one is "better" because each will fill different roles. All around, I'd say the catapult is since you get so many missile hardpoints, but still have the maneuverability and jump jet options to get into position for fire-support (and make your escape if necessary).

Then in that case it's the Bane 3. http://www.sarna.net...i/Bane_(Kraken)

Yeoman was designed as a dedicated missile boat. It has no secondary weapons.

Well, I would go for the longbow because of the massive firepower

Naginata, but only with a C3-slave equipped scout.

I think the Catalpult because of its number of missile hardpoints and jumpjets..

If you want the most missile hardpoints, and don't care about being fairly slow, the Stalker should do nicely. It can easily be fitted with 4 x LRM 15s, and you can pull off LRM 20s even (by TT rules at least) if you sacrifice all other weapons.

The Catapult gives you a good measure more mobility, as it offers jumpjets, and it can carry about half the LRMs that the Stalker could at max (either the default two LRM 15s, or scrap some other stuff and upgrade to 20s).

The Trebuchet offers a more mobile platform yet in terms of speed, but less options to upgrade and fit more LRMs. It would be ideal for supporting a fast-moving group of light and medium mechs though.

I'd have to say maybe the Catapult, Trebuchet, Dervish or maybe even a Longbow.

Personally, I think the catapult has a good mix of maneuverability and point defense weapons (4 medium lasers is enough to keep most light mechs away). The stalker is a good option too, but it's more well-rounded, and slower and lacking jump jets, but has the hardpoints and weight to potentially fit more LRMs than a catapult with customization. The trebuchet is pretty similar in loadout to the catapult, but unless/until you can make some upgrades, the basic fit can have heat problems. I'm not a big fan of LRMs on a light mech, unless you're ONLY fielding/fighting light mechs for some reason, and you need a light for fire support duties.

With the current 'mech available to us, I would have to say the Stalker has the best potential but only well stripping stuff off. Switching around launchers and removing gear that is not needed in favour of more ammo gives it an edge but the Stalker was not meant to be a pure LRM boat. The Catapult is more specialized for that role in most of it's variants.

Catapult- the ability to maneuver very well at it's size gives the catapult an advantage over the others with its JJ's. Don't forget about the armor it carries.

Best Missile boat of all time= HellSpawn

I like the stalker in the assault class as a missle boat for the current time period MWO is set in, but I am surprised noone has mentioned the Archer.

Out of the 15 mechs so far as listed for the game.
Catapult CPLT-A1 would be the most dedicated LRM wagon in its standard configuration.
If you're fiddling with present hardpoints and are not after speed go in and butcher a Stalker STK-5M.
Strip out what you don't want and load up the four missile hard points as you prefer.(I'm ignoring the narc launcher as a missile hard point until better informed.)
Can fit 4 LRM15s with 3tons (24reloads) of ammunition per launcher. Not much else, but that's not what was asked.
Gives a hellish amount of fire support. [In a 12 mech game it would have a ton of ammunition for each opponent!]
Would need babysitting.
