OKay, here we go
The map
The map is 3 tiers. The northernmost part is a body of water. Then a beach city. Top tier, on the south, is a generator complex, which is drawing water from pipes in the water as coolant. Pumping stations make their own steam every once in a while, blocking sight and Enhanced Imaging/Thermals.
There are a bunch of tunnels tall enough for light mech. There are a couple of pipes they can run in at the bottom as well, which are partially underwater. The tunnels are in red.
Inspired by the submarine locust and a match on mining collective where I got 4 kills in a Trial Mist Lynx.
Tactically, this is an important generator facility for a factory or city. Control this area, mechwarriors, so the invasion can continue! >:0
The Mech?!
Locust IIC! We need more light mechs, here are some light mechs!
I even did a shot of it in the tunnel, then made a doodle to show off a couple details.
Basically a bigger locust, I was inspired by upsized fighter craft like the Super Hornet, which I think had extra cheek fins at one point because the aerodynamics weren't quite right. Might have been a different upgraded plane, not sure.
The lines are more curved, and I changed the foot design. Added the cheek fins because the nose drifts down at top speed so you have to have some lift there. The medium laser has a little connector.
It has no hands for salvaging mechs (that's why these mechs have hands, right?!), so it has the little hook and winch on the nose.
