LORE has no place in a FPS though.
This is not tabletop... People want to treat it like it is - And that, simply, won't work.
Lore has all kind of place...on any franchised Intellectual Property. YOu wnat generic FPS PEWPEW to the Max, I hear Titanfall 2 is wonderful..... as a fast twitch generic shooter.
the genre is irrelevant.... yes consideration need be made specifically for the realities of each Genre... but a Star Wars or Star Trek FPS absolutely has to have it's lore intact, even if you bend some of the rules to make it work as an FPS.
Saying lore has no place on an IP Game? Lol. Sorry pal, go play some generic vanilla shooter then if that is what you want.

Just how many times does a company have to show you how bad it is before you finally say "they just cant do it" and just move on?
Interesting question...the very fact you posted, suggest you have not actually "moved on".....

No.
LORE purists on this forum want TT rules employed in the game, constantly. Do you read half the thread around here?
To me, that is near enough the same because it's coming outta the same peoples mouths.
Those who play mainly FPS games, and understand balance - such players comments you can tell right away because they make, wait for it
logical sense
Huge difference between "Lore Purist" and "Lore has no place"'
I could make all kinds of inbred idiotic generic characterizations about "FPS purists" and their idiotic attempts to turn every game into the same generic vanilla drek... but since that only actually addresses a tiny part of the population, really would serve no purpose. Just like your asinine "lore purist" argument.
