Assaults, boat, LRMs. Three words that tempts your teammates to commit a teamkill.Different kind of rant though.
And scale seems to be legit, non-humanoid 90 tonner with adequate scale is a good alternative to HGL-II-C.Hopefully it's animation will be slightly better on a full throttle, slow movement tends to highlight bunny syndrome.

Yup I know, thats true. Though I imagined the engineers forgot adding tons of energy hardpoints (14+??) in the supernova from the get-go but instead went for more heatsinks and so one. Imagine the other way around...They had a 90 tonner to work with after all.
At least the Nova get to enjoy a whooping 12 or so energy weapons total in the arms
Imagine what a "Supernova II" at 100t made for Solaris matches or one at 135t Colossal class mech could do into the far future . I know, it would be made up and maybe canonised if it fits well with fluff and all.
The scaling looks great for the Supernova. And the possible hitboxes seems adequate to good. At least it wont be as vulnerable to flanking, like the marauders.. It seems that from the front it will have a higher chance at spreading dmg than the MAD IIc.
Why? Well from the front the MAD II have all the torso and arm part clustered tightly together, sure it will have better convergence with all its guns but spread weapons will have a bit better time hitting em all in comparison to the Snovas front profile, where while the arms might be focused first, the torso parts will get spared for some few more second.

I really wish there was a kill dufus consumable for every time i get stuck with some guy who swears blind about how the MAL-1R is the best LRM mech in the game and to build it any other way than quad LRM15s is a waste, and then hides off on his own someplace raining LRMs at stuff he cannot get his own locks for, and has no backup weapons for when the enemy tracks him down.

In that we agree, hence Supernova-A is expected to be the weakest variant, at least until ATMs will eventually arrive. I wonder if PGI will be willing to change it's name and stock loadout to proper Supernova-2 which is clearly inspired it (Same with the MAD-IIC-D).

From the in-universe fluff SNV is a King Crab based mech, so no massed lasers yet. King Crab made quite a legacy with Supernova -> Nova -> Black Hawk KU (IS omni) and Black Hawk standard (50t-clan battlemech) heritage. I kinda liked what PGI made with a Boiler in that aspect, that's clearly King Crab-IIC if you look at it's stock loadout. Making possibly best variant available only for real money still feels cheeky though.

Well the funny bit there is we'll no longer have situations like the Stalker 5M where the LRMs can actually fire further than the sensor capabilities of the mech to find its own targets. Right now, with the module its 1250 meter range and even with advanced sensor module and beagle you're at 1200 of radar. Oh sure you can use a command console for 3 tons to get another 48 meters of range.. but that puppy costs a million more cbills.

Did you make any short noticed changes to the walking animations since the Instagram vid? This one looks better.
Not that I'm aware of, but I could be wrong. Might just be the quality of the video, or the angle of the shots, etc.

Otherwise the pic makes the supernova look like a blimp.
ERLL suck? I use em like a boss all the time and they work just fine. now if your poptarting, maybe not the best weapon but I find them having great punch even firing 3 at a time with ghost heat. Maybe its just me...

Is it just me or does it look a little front heavy. The legs need to be angled better. This thing would tip right over on its nose in real life. That said and with everyone seemingly not particularly happy with it, i'm looking forward to it. A 90 ton Ebjag. LOL

The answer is Gyroscope or sense of balance in human terms.
