I like the arms and legs on all the units, but I prefer the ones with the shorter snout... (Top Left, Top Center and bottom left)

I miss the MW4 Dragon, while the MW4 mechs weren't the most detailed some of them were pretty awesome counterparts. Honestly I prefer the MW4 Highlander over the MWO Highlander style wise, but then again I generally dislike the style of a lot of the older mechs.

Yeah, you can't remotely compare the execution of the art, but if Alex was to apply his style to that general Dragon Design? Pure WIN, IMO. I'm a bit split on the Awesome, I like elements of both, a lot... but I love all the "3067" designs intro'd in MW4... Osiris, Chimera, Hellspawn, Uziel, Argus, Thanatos, IMO were all fantastic designs, and the Templar and Fafnir ain't bad.

Will admit, I vastly prefer the MWO Hunchback, Raven, Catapult, etc.

And I largely won't compare the Mektek designs (aside from the admittedly gorgeous Supernova they gave us)
(also like whatever this guy is)

Ehh, I don't see that much difference between the MWO Raven and the MW4 Raven other than the beak is curved on the MW4 version (and has a shorter but fatter nose, which I prefer).

Don't forget the Owens and Haupty either.

Mektek also made a pretty cool Grim Reaper (which is basically a newer version of the Kintaro imo).
The Black Heart and Tenchi (aka Nemesis in another mod) were also pretty cool custom designs.

The NBT mod also added the Champion which was cool:

I must have a thing for mediocre 90 tonners. That must be why I was looking forward to the Supernova.

I wouldn't call the Sunder mediocre, for it's era it's down right decent to good, but once you get to the civil war era it really starts to show it's age....

I meant in terms of MWO it would be mediocre

IDK.... I find the differences pretty substantial. Yeah, you have a lot of the same basic broad strokes (for obvious reasons) but the execution? Quite different. Mind you, from a hitbox perspective, I could see the value to the MW4 version, but I must say (aside from the ugliness of dynamic weapons) the MWO model is a much improved design, visually. IMO.

definitely a robot where ya go... oh if only fer a LFE....... ( A switch to that and Endo, with 15 base DHS still allows for a credible 34.5 tons of guns, with 16.5 tons of armor... or if you go with 13 DHS... (12 internal) you can slap on 2x snPPC, 1x RAC5 and 3x SSRM4 with plenty of ammo. Which I think would do quite lovely, don't you?)

it is a thing. All you have to do is install MW4, where it will assuredly be a better robot than it will ever be in MWO, in the first place. Also, the title of the thread is pretty specific about most boffo mech in MWO... which this robot clearly is not. (as are a few other entries in here, so I reckon it's time to tighten up a bit again.)

Ew. Its garbage. You only like it because that salvage master guy in MW4 said "something something, its called an Uziel, something something" and acted like it was something special. Its all a lie!

Doh... I saw a bunch of mechs that weren't in MWO and forgot that this was about MWO mechs only!! My bad, will edit my post.

Oh defiantly... she's a mech that I think needs a face lift for MWO, should that happen she might be okay, not meta, but not mediocre...

yea, that goes back to my earlier comment about how a LFE takes a bunch of flawed mechs and makes them into beasts....

A great example of this is the Bushwacker to Gauntlet comparison... The Gauntlet is just brutal, in the prime config, she's fast 5/8+MASC+Supercharger, and packs two hole punchers HPPC+Thunderbolt/10, she's a solid mid range mech killer.

I LOVE driving it, I just get distracted by all of the new hotness.

Admittedly, I mostly use 2 cLPL, 4 cER MLs, though with the -C right arm and the D right torso you can do a 2 ER PPC/ Gauss build that is pretty nice to run.

To be fair, they're a natural furnace and PGI decided to upscale it to the point it no longer fits under the roof of HPG... makes piloting them a chore.

And I'm pretty turned off by just how much tonnage the jumpjets eat up. I get more lift out of a singular, half ton jumpjet. Thanks, Balance Overlord!

in part, I never have found a good hotkey for the MASC...all the convenient ones are used for other stuff I need more... and with just a basic 3 button mouse, no real place there. So part of it is that the MASC takes up space that TBH, I could personally use better elsewhere (I feel the same on the Shadowcat, TBH). And...I reckon it's also the proper use of MASC that unlocks it's effectiveness (cuz it for sho ain't the Jump Jets...), so even if I could ditch the MASC... probably wouldn't work for me.

Oddly... I love me some mr Gargles Play, and I love love love my Warhawk. I just wish I could effectively toss my Warhawks armament on the Exe.
