We know MWO has copied its monetization system from World of Tanks, more or less.
But so far we had no “gold ammo” which would allow to be more effective in battle by spending ingame money, but for economy reasons you’d need a premium account to do it more frequently and keep being able to buy a new vehicle now and then.

Well, in future in MWO, as it seems…
After all, consumables are exactly this: Being better in battle by spending CBills and nothing else.

You can guess what my opinion on this is.
Do you agree or disagree?

Technically not gold ammo, since gold ammo requires spending real money.

Spending cbills to be better is pretty normal in mechwarrior, but I think this is a step to far as it basically allows you to sacrifice your match earning for a tangible advantage, and that is bad for the majority of players.

also purely from a gameplay perspective there are enough consumables slung about every match. More is not fun or interesting.

How many of us would gladly pay money for MW3 or MW4 sound effects pack?

Sounds like they are trying to sneak R&R into the game again where money can have a larger impact on your performance. Can we just get this over with and remove consumables as a thing and just make them permanent things. I mean UAV and cool shots don't even need to be modules, just something that is added when you take the extra consumable slot (and they can remove that double UAV capability skill and combine it into one).

So you have to spend a whole bunch of skill points to get these extra consumables, then you have to pay cbills to use them but somehow its gold ammo?

Know whats really going to happen?
Most people will not unlock all 6.
People who do will not use all 6 most the time
And the people who do use all 6 rarely will not be "op"

I have 2 right now and i rarely use both....

Not really the same thing. I do think they need to tone down arty/airstrike. But you use in-game money to do it. So it really isn't the same thing. The combined cost of running 6 of them is pretty crazy c-bill wise. And I do think it will make it easier to c-bill rich or MC rich players. But I wouldn't put it on the same lines as gold ammo. You can just take the skills points you would spend on that and put it to other skills that won't cost as much to use in the long run.

I only saw how more consumable would break the game but considering mc consumable, this is much worse.
