Although I've played pretty regularly for more than 4 years now, I've barely played MWO since the release of the Supernova. I don't know if I'll keep playing after the next patch. It's just so very uninspiring when PGI ignores feedback to this degree.

The best fun is, when this crap goes live, second day all of us will spend their cbills and exp, to tune up back their mechs, leaving zero empty accounts :) Well a month later, the tree will change again, costs will change again and we have nothing we spent on again :D Costs ar ridiculous, unwanted paths in tree is stupid, re-spec is double stupid. Could be something new - which may proove to be ok, but the cost? Cmon devs...I do not like if someone plays me stupid.

Perhaps unlocking the technology in tree for the first time, like unlocking cooldown for EXP, to be available on all mechs. Its like research - when you find how to use technology only once. Than to pay milions of cbils for each mech you want to install the technology - that would be ok. But no re-spec omg... we are tuning our mechs and this is one of the best features of the game. Its like having a sports car in your garrage and tunning for best performance before each race...

I think ill just do my FP dropdecks and stop at that. If they do change it and we need to redo things Ill still be rolling in space bucks and GXP.

We need a way to use HXP from sold variants. And it can be made multiply ways:
let us convert it to mech xp to other variants of mech (most of sold mechs are just used to basic useful);
let us convert it to GXP, may be with some discount if it is from basic only mech;

The New Skill Tree is way tooooooo complicatied, why cant we just make it easy and clear, with some speicial Subbranch (Laser Duration or LBX spread) with only one Node but cost more than 1 Node point ?
Some people do not feel good when they saw a lot of Node on the screen

im not sure if this skill tree grinding will keep me motivated to play MWO further. I mastered countless of my mechs and thought i have found my perfect builds, now ill have to change all again and level up again? Duuhh....

The sheer will to play this game is fading very fast...

I don't like this feeling, but I can't help it...

I'm not trying to state or comment on anything, guess I don't care anymore, I'm just expressing how I feel right now.

Damnit... If this "New Skill Tree" system goes live without more PTS Sessions to tune it up first, I'll have to quit. I've said plenty on this subject in other threads, but it appears PGI has read none of it. ...and leave it at that. If PGI doesn't listen now, I'm done trying to be part of the community who had any will to keep MWO from self-destruction. All PGI seems to be doing is helping the 'Ballistic-Boating Meta', 'Energy-Boating Meta', and 'HardCore MechWarriors Only' groups, all while hurting everything else and the Casual-type players who came with it. I won't stick around for that kind of abuse, and I know many others won't stay either. :angry:


For PGI's note -- Sorry that I had not posted at all (at least as I can remember) on any of the earlier main PTS Session Announcements. They kept getting too overloaded with posts before I could catch up and weigh in properly on any matters, such that I would have been forced off the Live Battle Fields just to have even the slightest chance to discuss, and I try to never post unless I've read the entire current thread. So please take a look over the threads and posts that I've linked, and refactor what you're doing before you cause another mass exodus. I've already identified a lot of problems, and I really don't want to have to leave, but you're leaving me with little choice when the next Monthly Patch arrives. -_-

Going to make lot of popcorn and some cold beer ready for the release and after release feedback :D
Will be fun watching and reading from people with over 100 Mechs applying skill tree to them. Hopefully when they are done there comes an update where they have to do it again :P

hopefully pgi has backup plans if something goes wrong though.
and
mastered mechs should have all the skill trees unlocked, when this goes live. automatically. the ones that aren't im ok with refund

In addition to my post above... One other thing just hit me... What happens to all those "Cool Shot 9", "Upgraded Cool Shot 6", and "Non-Upgraded Cool Shot 6" Consumables that players have? I mean, I see how the already-upgraded "Cool Shot 9 by 9" would just turn into "Cool Shot 18" in player inventories, but what about those non-upgraded editions? Have we another case of mental disconnect here? :(

Less XP for one Mech vs three Mechs, yes.

But at the end of leveling under the current system, I have three Mechs, and enough CBills to buy another.

At the end of the leveling under the new system, I have one Mech, and not enough CBills to buy another.

Plus, you'll be leveling your Mechs against leveled meta Mechs, without access to Radar Dep and Seismic or even Speed Tweak for many many more matches than you do now.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say all of them will probably be refunded for cbills. Consumables are modules, modules are being refunded, thus...

I'm looking forward to it, despite having more than a few things I don't like.

After all, the present skill tree:
A ) Allows no customization
B ) Has useless skills I have to pay XP for and unlock despite literally no game effect
C ) Is a placeholder that was supposed to be replaced years ago.
D ) Requires me to buy three Mechs of a chassis to level one.

This one doesn't require any non-functional skills - I can spend all 91 points getting only skills I want if I so choose. While some skills are gated (like speed tweak, seismic, derp) by requiring heavy investment, I'm OK with that. Just means not everyone will run those skills. That's fine for me.

I'm NOT happy at the cost. With many mechs, it's going to screw me, but I'll get over it.
