I have been running this LBK build and have enjoyed it tremendously.
I usually don't use SSRMs over ASRMs, but I thought it would be interesting to try something using LTag and LCAP, essential giving me both for 1 ton.
Its great against lights, heat is good, sustained DPS once cooldown skills are taken is decent. Not a great alpha and damage is not pinpoint obviously, so larger mediums and above you have to use your mobility to harass them. It is definitely not a toe to toe brawler.
This is the Brawler build I was using, and it also works great and is more traditional. If it is too hot you can swap out the HML for ERMLs.

Not bad I love and hate HMLs.

Running the LBK-Prime with the Type-D arms. Six C-SRM6s and an ERLL so I'm not completely useless when waiting for the brawl. Four and a half tons of ammo and one double heat sink. It runs hot but is so much fun to play. Don't underestimate the armor quirks on the Prime. I get an extra 22 front armor on each side torso and 25 on the front CT giving them 76 and 102 respectively.
Last match I played had me dealing 700+ damage with three kills and a bunch of assists. Love when people are like, "Holy hell! That Linebacker just ran down a Spider! ****!" She's my baby and I love her.

Sold my LBK a while ago when I was to discouraged by its performances. Sometimes a battlemech is not for you, the LBK was not for me.

So I decided to try the LBK-H as a PPC poptart. Found out they nerfed the hardpoints on the JJ enabled OmniPods to be cockpit height.
GG PGI, you never fail to disappoint me...

36 SRMs, group left side/right side. 6 tons of ammo and 2 DHS. Go forth and splat things. It is a bigger ACW-1. I just wish I could find room for Artemis.

My Linebacker Redline was the first Hero Mech I bought. I love it. I've got its skills maxed out now with survival almost totally filled out, the lower body half of mobility (and a little speed tweak) so it's more responsive to quick footwork, full radar deprivation and seismic, and what left I could I put into range. There's not much space for weapons, so I have a pretty basic setup that works well. It's great for peeking, a bit toasty, tanky as hell, and fast. I mainly use it for flanking/skirmishing aggression.

Run Dual ppcs sometimes
no JJ
Got nice high hardpoints for hill humping and speed to escape and reposition

Haven't seen the build that theB33f uses in some of his videos. It works pretty well, since hit-and-run(-and-cool-down) is something the LBK can do.
2 Heavy Large Lasers
4 Heavy Medium Lasers
I don't quite like heavy lasers, but on here they do a good job.
