Meet one of the players that is the reason you have to "start over" (not really) Posted Image

It wont be that bad, you can always sell mechs, engines, or weapons to pay for skill points...

I tease again HAHAHAHAHAHA Posted Image

Seriously though, you dont need to freak out about the economy of this thing. Whats more important is the tree layout is refined and perfected and it will be good.

If you are one of those dudes with 400 mechs and 2 modules....you simply just have more mechs than you can even play in a day if you tried.

You are defending more grind/monetization/progress reset/a skill tree that's been badly designed, because you think it seemingly doesn't affect you. You also feel the need to "rub it in" by making silly threads like these.

I have no words.

Well as expected my little picture got downvoted to oblivion on reddit within no time but these are the same people that are up in arms over Russ's "Cheapskate" tease (which also was edited out of context and posted on reddit with mass upvotes). By the time the community outrage safespace tree economy comes out I will probably never run out of cbills in this game.

Some of us have a higher standard in what we accept as a fun and playable game. No knocks to PGI. Just there is no depth in pvp. Also the carry harder match maker puts too much stress on those of us who would like to win. Yup I know... "buckets" so you just have to deal.

I'm glad you can enjoy the game that much.

I'm glad I'm not part of the 1 billion club.

I might be coming back to MWO in spring, depending on what's announced Tuesday.

I should be close to the billion club myself. Either way I don't play my all my many mechs. Glad the cost of nodes have dropped.

You're right, of course. I DEEPLY regret the $1400 I've spent on this game. Totally not worth it for this one dimensional team death match poki-mech game we have here. It didn't come close to hitting all the pillars, content additions have been non-existant, several game modes need a complete overhaul, and we can't even get a new map (remember when they said map creation was streamlined and we'd start getting new maps every month-or so-?).

I only have 91 mechs, and spent $1400 in real world cash in this game. There are true whales that have spend many times more than that (so I'm not bragging here, and I don't consider myself a "whale"). BUT, think how much game funding would NOT have been there if we all just bought half a dozen mechs, and spent the rest on modules? PGI didn't pay the bills from Cbill purchases of modules. It was players BUYING mechs and mech packs, with real cash that payed the freight here.

So you mocking those players that actually FUNDED the damn game is just a poke in the eye on top of everything else.

whether 100 or 400 mechs, you are not going to wrap that up on patch day 1.

Its going to take most everyone weeks to learn the new tree and get things sorted out

In the meantime, regular play should sort out any accounting problems

And yet, that billion C-bill refund? Will go right BACK into your mechs. You'll either make a small profit, or a modest loss. It would've been wiser to simply not refund c-bills spent on modules and make this tree cost XP ONLY.

OK, but that money is going to be spent on remastering your mechs, so are you REALLY getting your c-bills back or are you getting the illusion of a refund?

Considering that the node cost when the patch goes live will be 45k IF NOT LOWER, I think he'll have plenty of excess c-bills to spend.

Banked Premium Time: 4,752 Hours
General XP: 225,233
Loyalty Points: 4,118
c-bills: 261,693,912

Not including all the xp and gxp on all 71 of my mechs including all the Heroes Founders, Phoenix and Loyalty mechs I think I'm set for c-bills since I've been playing the game for nearly four years as one of three main video games.

Who cares what i'm gonna do with my c.bills?
I paid for the mods, a lot. If they get removed, i simply want my c-bills back.
Those guys who spent their c-bills on mechs rather then mods can keep their mechs too. Why should i make a loss and they don't if the new skill-system hits.

1.2B plus and I still won't be able to master half my mechs. It's true I'll have everything I play fully skilled but, as I've said over and over: They are removing the incentive to buy more.

Because modules are being streamlined into the skill tree and thus removed as c-bill upgrades. Mechs will never be removed in MW:O. You're not getting a refund, exactly. Not when it's being spent on the very same mech you had already upgraded with those modules.

Again, what i do with my c-bills should be of no concern for you.
Roughly 1/2 of a billion of assets will be removed from my account and when that happens, i sure as hell want compensation for it.
I might use the refund (that is exactly what it is) and buy some mechs or i use it to unlock nodes who knows.

The reason Russ was giving for not making it free is because of people like Kin3ticX.

Why not just give people a discount based on how many modules they have? Less modules more discount. That may not seem fair to module owners in a sense. But they're getting a lot of c-bills back, especially since they've lowered the cost on the skill tree to under what modules would have cost.
