Thru all our Clan-Frinds, please get in mind, that all IS-Stuff is bulkier and heavyer than the Clan-Stuff it has allso less range!
So there is still a need to nerf Clan equipment to make the Mechs equal in fighting conditions!
But yes with the new equipment the gap is smaller!

@Dragoon: No Clan RACs. They were only ever experimental. if they started giving out experimental weapons, the IS would be getting about seven more weapon systems, like the Blazer and SBG. Clan RACs in fact mostly got canned because of the HAG showing up.

@Mechanic: Honestly, you probably WANT that Jam. since without it, your mech is likely to cook. my unit did some math, and you could overheat a Mech boating RACs in roughly three seconds, judging with 1 heat per shot, roughly 8 shots a second per RAC. Adds up pretty damn fast. Course, you could also do 33.3 damage in a second with a pair of RAC/2s, so it really is a decent tradeoff.

Look IS has more toys, mech, upgrade ( since they can change they armor and weight), Engine changes, and they had more quirks with your mech. We clan mech had - quirks for years and had no quirks as well. I don't want to hear we had more toys when you guys had way more stuff to mess with.

Yep, it is out of the FedCom war timeline in all fairness. It's just that PGI won't add new tech into the game for a looong time, maybe never again and this was the only chance to have HAGs :/

Dire has been scared since the first balance pass to clan tech (yes, that one a long time ago just after the clan mechpack came out)

I don't know about dual HAG40 on a Kodiak that still has room to spare for more weapons...

I mean, HAG would either be burstfire (as per lore) or shotgun effect (as per Would look awesome). In either case, we're looking at 80 damage for 16 heat on one volley. Even if you can only fire one at a time, 2 volleys will gut most Mechs in the game. Add a couple ERPPCs to that, or quad MPL... Death sentence

There is so much salt in the forums. I can understand the equipment gap sucks for the clans but I'm sure better clan stuff will come in the next weapon based update. A lot is still missing from the game and please keep in mind that PGI can only script, test, and balance so much in a time frame. I also bet that the recent changes to tonnage for drops will likely be removed too. PGI will, in time, figure out a balance.

Also keep in mind that omnis will probably remain in clan hands until more clan tech (other than this upcoming update) will be announced. So Clans still are capable of omni and standard battlemech which is a big deal if you think about it.

Take a look at the Faction Warefare Map, who is leading? Who had conquered the IS?
I played this Game allso for YEARS (since 7. Nov. 2012 ) only as Steiner-Loyalist and no I am not wining, I deal with it,
the more range, the less weight, the smaller things, the Clan-XL-Engine size, the smaller DHS, the less Endosteel and FerrorArmor space and so on, all the things that ClanMechs had. What is your Problem?
When we (the IS) could take all Tech ( inclusive ClanTech) no IS-Mech had a single piece of IS-Tech in it.

And, the Hero-Mechs on IS-Side, most of them are s h i t, except the IV-4, the Oxide and the Pirats Bane.

Oh go cry a river, Clan tech is still superior in damage, range, crit slots, and weight. Clans aren't losing out at all. IS is just getting some more versatility, get over it. Soo many Clan 'Loyalists' showing their true colors here: (Lets play the side that has the best stuff), IS Loyalists have been putting up with inferior weapons and tech for 3 years and the whole time the Clans have told us "it's the Lore, get over it or get good". Well you've shot yourself in the foot with the Lore argument now haven't you.

All that aside, has anyone stopped to think that FW will be more than just IS vs Clan? It is called Civil War for a reason...

Except neither of these have shown up HERE yet. Any idea when that will happen? And who ever said anything against IS getting Blaser, SBG, TSM and whatnot? Not me definitely. I do not object to a single piece of IS tech shown so far, I only want my own stuff.

Which comes when, another two or three years from now on? How much time passed since Clan invasion? And how much time passed before that? What I want is for the game to keep up with canon and for me to not die of old age if and when it finally catches up with it. Does it even matter that I am Clan in this regard?

@Sniper: I wasn't saying we shouldn't, just that PGI hasn't added in anything Experimental on either side, so there would be a MASSIVE amount of Salt from the side that didn't get it unless everyone got them.

the HAG would actually probably be a Stream of projectiles that you'd have to track a moving target with. Painful Smashy death to guys who love to sit still, but a giant pain in the *** to actually hit anyone moving with.

I don't care about the weaponry they are giving you. What i care about is how little we get and how much we have to get neg quirk, no quirk and dealing with IS super insane Quirk. I mean it total nonsense the stuff we clanner had to deal with because of all the IS uneven balance. Now its happening again with the skill tree and all these new weapon update. I mean how come we can't get MRM or any of the clan weapon during the year of the update?

We don't know if you guys are getting clan tech. You could get a ultra - AC 20 which fire two ac 20 shot and not 5 shot. So that get to another point because PGI said the weapon are going to be IS version which mean your ultra ac will be normal with multi shots like your ultra ac 5.

Gabriel, you already HAD 80% of what we're getting, and it's STILL better.

and the Clans never designed MRMs.

honestly, what you're really seeing here is that the IS knows how to fight WARS. the Clans fight battles. our new weapon systems were thinking outside the box. Clan Technicians honestly were treated as SCUM compared to the Warrior Caste.. so... yeah, your tech might be better, but it's also semi-stagnant.

If IS Ultra 20s do not fire a "stream" like Clans, that will be insanely broken and the only thing that could balance that out would be to give Clans HAGs.

Fair enough, However take into consideration that the majority of IS quirks have been heavily reduced to the point that they are barely noticeable anymore and that even with some of the better quirks, Clans still had the upper hand in most circumstances. The quirks were nerfed because all of a sudden IS was putting up a fight and the Clans weren't auto winning anymore. (Queue mass Clan hysteria towards PGI, who then brings out the Nerf baton). There is no longer any insane quirks for the IS. You talk of what the Clans had to endure? What like 2-3 months where you didn't have a win button? How about the massive tech difference that the IS has had to endure for the past 3 years? The evidence is there, look at the leaderboards, look at the stats.

This game has to be balanced at some point, and that is exactly what this update will be doing. Without balance the game losses it's fun factor, I'm surprised there's still a semi decent amount of players still on the IS side after all this time, (True Loyalists Posted Image ), Without the fun factor people will drift away to other games which has already happened, PGI has lost a decent portion of their original player base already, this update might bring some back. (I can attest to my old unit leaving the game due to the heavy tech imbalance).

All of this aside, like I mentioned It's called Civil War. My guess is it will be more than just Clan vs IS anymore. Whilst it's all fun to have a whinge about the new tech, lets wait for the test servers before we go assuming too much about how good/bad things will be.

Edit: My guess about the IS Ultra AC's is:
UAC2 - same as current UAC5
UAC5 - As is
UAC10 - same as Clan but triple shot
UAC20 - Same as Clan but triple shot

2nd Edit: on the quirks issue, it was my understanding that all quirks will be gone under the new skill point system. That should go some way towards people thinking it unbalances things.

Unfortunately, the Skill Tree has been delayed indefinitely and may not be in the game before the Civil War update, so IS will be very overpowered if that is the case.

PGI had not communicate any details how they Design this Weapons, why do anyone think he knows how this Weapons and the other stuff do function?

Really I don't think the UAC20 do shot only 2 bullets! Maybe it comes with the same mechanic like the Clan UAC.
The only IS-Gun that is superior above Clan is the RAC but it weights a mass!
My hope was the Light ACs!

With the incoming of the Clantech they (PGI) had say a UAC 20 that shot 2 barrels with 20 dmg is to much.
Thats why the Clan UACs are shoot so many bullets at one trigger.

We should wait, after the implention there comes 2 or 3 or more hot-fix to balance the stuff, thats what I mean!

U will c the differnt, that is not much better that Clantech and the ClanMechs can carry even more equipment than the IS. The IS is only a little bit closer!

We from the IREX unit win for either side. And yes the balance is now broken. IS is stronger than clans. If you lose for IS. You are crayfish. These unreasonable quirks violated the balance. There are tactics that leave no chance for the clans. Because of the heating, they can not shoot more than once.

The balance is made for losers who are always losing. What do we have now?
1. The sphere has magic quirks.
2. The sphere has more heat capacity.
3. The sphere has more capacity by weight.
4. The weight of the drop is more.
5. The sphere has the same motor. (Does not explode anymore.)
6. Sphere has the same distance.
7. The sphere has the best ballistic. Clans do not have ballistics. Ballistics of the clans is Kodiak. But no one takes it because of weight. Other bellows can not allow ballistics due to the wedge, and a strong blur of damage.
8. Clans do not have strong lights, like a sphere. Jener was killed.
9. Clans do not have light 20 tone.
10. The sphere gets more good weapons ....
11. Skills take away from the clans distance, cooldown, and seismic. Maybe speed or armor.
12. Clans no have mechs with good hardpoints. Such as a grasshopper, batlemaster, warhammer. All the clan's mechs bellows or chicken or weapons in their hands. And this is a mockery.
13. Laser duration... and pulse laser duration hit like gauss.

You fools if you think the sphere is weaker. It has always been stronger than the clans it should be nerf already today.

PS: I'm not afraid of innovations. We are mercenaries. We will go beyond the sphere and we will destroy even easier. But I'm afraid of losing friends, who are loyalists for the clans.This may be the last straw for many. Or, enter more weapons for the clans.

Why do you think so, most of the Competetive Units use Clan Tech, why they do that?
When it is soooooo bad?
If there comes to afight between 2 Units in the same Skillclass, the Clan Unit wins more then the IS Unit! That is fakt!

I'm sorry, but 12 *decent* solos in <insert whichever tech you think is better> will not beat a well organized 8-man + 4 pugs in <insert whichever tech you think is worse>... unless its by pulling together and using teamwork.

People keep pointing at the tech and crying foul about balance when it has more to do with what's going on outside of the of your equipment options.
