It'd need to have it's crotchpit moved up or it'd be junk. High mounts are useless if you cant see to use them.

Alrighty! Thanatos removed... they are probably going to make the rounds through other classes before doing another IS heavy so no Crusader just yet. My prediction is Piranha next, followed by either an IS medium or a Clan assault.

I just meant Crusader is top IS Heavy pick at the mo.

[Edit] I can't see another Clan Assault for a while (even if I *do* want the Blood Asp), since 3/6 of the last Clan 'mechs were Assaults - MAD-IIC, SNV, MCII, COU, ACW, NCT.

So if we *did get the Piranha, I'd imagine a Clan Medium next - Pouncer or Black Lanner, going off the polls. Rifleman IIC is the most popular Clan Heavy in both polls, and that's not likely with current events. [/Edit]

Now that we have seen the lovely (read Giant shoot me) ST's on the Thanatos, the periscope of shoot me across the map Giraffe (Anni) and the soon to have its hitboxes tweaked Uziel.. can we please have a little more meta with our IS mechs...

Unfortunately its a well-known fact that IS mechs are known for there nostalgia and Clan mechs are known for their power, that's why people vote nostalgia for IS mechs and super awesome meta-bots for Clans.

The Fafnir might bridge the game depending on geometry (MW4 Geo would be garbage, those boobs are just too big, would be like the Thanatos in that regard).

It's very unfortunate as many of the IS mechs don't seem fit for purpose. And yet 'we' keep voting for more... and then 'we' decry how bad a mech is (especially compared with xyz clan mech)... and then 'we' vote for more of the same...

Speaking of mech boobs, I'm sure I saw a particularly flat chested old thanatos pic recently. The current artwork looks mint, but the other, much uglier artwork looked far more practical.

Oh well shrugs...

Wouldn't the Highlander just be a crappy Urbanmech? Sure, it technically could mount a bigger engine, but it's already hard to make a 30 ballistic mech with a XL180, would be impossible with a bigger engine and an extra 5 tons.

Depends on the artist the mounts don't need to be high above the cockpit they could also be placed slightly above cockpit height (upprr mounts on KDK - it would not be as worse as the Blood Asp
