Yeah, someone mentioned that (maybe even in this thread) and the Fire Falcon has since replaced the Solitaire as my Clan 25 tonner of choice. Much like the Hellion replaced the Pack Hunter.

Eh, not seeing what the Brigand really offers apart from JJs on a 25 ton 'Mech, which just makes it a worse Javelin. At least it has tons of variants to draw on.

From a more objective point of view (because I am definitely biased), the Raptor offers Omni-tech and massed firepower absent from any IS 'Mech in the game. It also covers the JJs-on-a-25-tonner angle.

Both the Brigand and Raptor offer really nice choices for the 25ton slot, I feel the Brigand be screwed in hp inflation cuz JJ on a battlemech, unlike the omni it have options to pick up on JJ and not be screwed over hp inflation cuz omnipods.

Aside from the Raptor & Brigand, the only other IS 25 tonner that interests me (so far) is the Nexus, mostly due to the design.

Just read up on the mech it's a nice contender for the 25 ton slot, pure energy boat but it can be annoying to take down since it so skinny. Need one more variant and be ripe for sale.

Also it one those drawings of giant robots I personally love seeing and sketching.

The Nexus would actually be faster than the Commando as it comes with a 180 stock versus the 150 in the Mando & Brigand. It's ecm variant loses the jj but to be fair a 25t mech has very little space. The Brigand's ecm variant has jj but also tech that's not in game. Still, a pirate mech is just cool. I do agree the Raptor is the most unique not only for being an omni but also playstyle.

I think it's because IS omnis are seemingly off the table. By the same logic I'd say any Unseen like the Crusader would not be eligible until the legal junk with HG is done.

Off the table according to whom? Nobody ever said "never" to IS Omnis officially.

Russ said that he does not want the IS to copy Clantech, so this includes Omnimechs as well.
