The Deimos, the most expensive miniature I own.
Ordered the first miniature before the mech was even part of the lore, shipment was the expensive and most annoying part. Only option was air-mail 48h delivery but after a weak I ve got the message that I have to visit the next customs office
There a old guy almost at the age to retire did behave like he was still a border guard officer of the GDR and on top of that the delivery did cost tax aswell.

Anyhow the Deimos would be nice. Although the question - lore or MekTek. I loved the MekTek variants more.
Deimos B 2ERPPC and 2 GaussRifles, although I used the C more often 2 Large Pulse 2 ERLarge and 2 LB5X.

Rampage for the IS.... do we talk about the same Rimworld Republic 85t Mech?

I'm not impressed. Slow and slot-starved. Does look very cool as a miniature but that doesn't mean it would be fun to use in-game.

And it's for that reason I hope the Urbanmech remains solely an Innersphere mech. I would rather see something more unique added.

At this stage while it's nice to see new mechs for their designs and that sort of thing. They don't really
provide us with anything that breaks the mold.

The scorpion and the other quad mechs would show us that there is more development happening in the game and would give players a mech that does provide a different experience.
Not only that, but has there been quad mechs in the earlier Mechwarrior titles? Expanding the mech line up into the quads could be something else that would set MWO apart from it's predecessors and be a nice 'hey we did that' achievement for the team at PGI.
Russ may not like the quads but he doesn't have to pilot one and it wouldn't bastardize the game to add them.

It's for those same reasons that I would like to see Elementals as a pilotable option in game.
It shakes things up.
Would give new life to the game.
Gives players another option and way to experience the battles.

There was, actually.
In Mechwarrior 2, there was the 25 ton Tarantula, 24 years ago.
You could unlock it through a cheat code, along with a few other things like Elementals.

And not even officially.

I would be in full support of adding quads to MWO for several reasons.
Top of the list - It has not been done properly before
Want to add another 'hey we did this first in the mechwarrior title, then BOOM!
Second, while it would mean developing a few new things like a damage model to display in the hub, a movement mode that differs to all the other mechs, totally worth it to show that there is still some advancement happening in the game with the corner piece attraction... the mechs.... and .....
...it would add some new and unique variety to player experience.

Judas, I hope one day you get your quad mechs, I really do.. but I just can't say I want quad mechs before I get the MACKIE...

yes I know it's bad, yes I know it'd be hardpoint inflated to all hell... but I don't care, It's the OG, original battlemech, and has NEVER been in a game.

I'll take a mech that's never been in game, to give it a time to shine, than a mech that WAS in game, even if it took cheats to get access to it.

There's a lot of mechs that have never had a chance ingame, and I think that needs to change before we add anything more that HAS been in game.

Not me...deleted Twitter a long time ago. It's a toxic cesspool of groupthink enforced by an Orwellianly-named committee of "No Badthought." It's a terrible means for corporate communication and one that 95% of the MWO players probably won't see. PGI should communicate through their own forums.
