The Hollander could in theory be given something crazy like 8-12 ballistic hardpoints all in that one side torso, but the "dynamic" geometry on that would look completely ugly and ruin any aesthetic the mech would've had.

If we were to get the Hollander 1 in MWO, I'd rather keep the hardpoint count low but crank up the offensive quirks to 11 (more than the Spider 5V) and of course plenty of armor.

It'd need ammo quirks for sure to raise it's damage potential

Absolutely. Also crit chance reduction quirks for any Gauss variants to help it not explode immediately.

PGI should include at least 1 energy-based variant (hero maybe) that comes stock with an HPPC or something instead of Gauss, and get mega cooldown/heat quirks so it can shoot that HPPC like an AC/10. I could see something like that being pretty fun.

Possible. But then, PGI could just quirk any given Mech with one E or B hardpoint to do so.

The question is if the Hollander has enough star-power to pull in sales.

And the bitter truth is that the UrbanMech IIC can be quirked just as well, and it might (not sure) generate those sales. This is the problem when you start choosing a Mech based on what quirks PGI could give them. It's basically free for all, and the more popuar Mechs win this.

I'd love a Hollander. you could make it work with no inflation by basically gigaquirking the single gauss rifle/side torso armor, similar to (but better than) the old Grid Iron

It's not really "bitter." It's pretty common knowledge that Urbie and Urbie IIC have more to work with in their "base form" than the Hollander does. I was just going into hypotheticals if the Holly somehow got chosen over it.

Hollander IIC. Not quite the same mech (45T) but better for MWO and keeps the distinctive look.

"Bitter" for people who would like to see any other Mech than the UrbanMech IIC. Of course, that is subjective, and I respect everyone's opinion on that.

Gigantic quirks simply work for every Mech. They could be applied to the Stinger or the Valkyrie, e.g., which otherwise would be pretty useless, unfortunately. And I would like to see them before the Hollander.

Hollander II? (I am not aware of a IIC-variant...)

Could work. A bit boring but I would play it, and it would keep the look indeed.

Quick fix for the Hollander would to remove the charge mechanic for the Gauss. (Obviously that'd require a little code work accomplish)...

I'd also recommend a hefty armor buff and reduction in crit chance just to round it out. Posted Image

Yes, you are correct. From MechCommander 1.

Should mechs be deleted after they've been introduced in game? Or am I missing something. I know the Crusader is in, but it's still on the list.

Crusader is the last mech pack.

If they can make an UrbanMech into a viable machine, they can certainly do the same for the Hollander.

Almost no one uses stock ’Mechs, and even among those who do, I’ve yet to meet one who uses a stock Urbie. All the Hollander needs is some empty hardpoints for people to fill so they aren’t stuck being just a walking Gauss Rifle with it. lol

May I please request the addition of the Rakshasa to the IS Heavy options?

It's a very cool mech in its own right; even if it isn't truly an "IS Timber Wolf," it still brings a lot of fun ideas to the table, and a PGI redesign would look amazing.

As a second request, may I also request the Axman be added to IS Heavies, as well? Somerset must be liberated, after all, and we already have Hawkins' and Ryder's rides represented as heroes...I would like to be able to represent the whole of the First Somerset Strikers in my mechbay.

As a third IS Heavy request, could the Exterminator as well be added to the vote? It's one of the few mechs that would add essentially a new playstyle to the game, and could be quite an interesting addition given its capabilities....which wouldn't have to necessarily be fully recreated, as only one variant used the optical camo...but if the Spector is included, it seems odd not to include its big brother.

As a request for IS Mediums, may I request the Clint, please? I know the ASN-DD comes close to delivering what the Clint has to offer, but it's just one sub-type in another mech's stable, and just isn't quite the same, on top of being a Hero.

yeah tbh the clint just... i want it too, but i can't find any workable builds at 40 tons that would work like an urbie but without quirks. and its not known to be really excelling in the durability. its just... there... the gruntiest of grunt mechs for anime protags to use as target ***** pretty much.

AF;:20\0|Bd|OG|OGpV0|0@|0@|i^qV0|Y?|Y?|i^rH0|k?|FO|FOsH0|Y?tX0|OGuX0|OGv?0|KOw402020

i used my VL-2T as a base line to try to build something that might be clint like. it sort of works as intended, but reversed arms. could strip the mg for 3 more jump jets... one sec.

AF;820\0|Bd|OG|OGpV0|i^|OGqV0|Y?|Y?|i^|OGrH0|k?|FO|FOsH0|Y?tX0|OGuX0|OGv?0w402020

hmmm... yeah at best its a skirmisher, maybe do the meta and toss the ac it's kind of built for and stuff 2-3 ppcs into it but then is it still the no armor light auto cannon grunt mech the clint stands as?

edit: ewww... i feel sick

AF;922\0|OG|Md|i^|OGpV0|i^|i^|i^qV0|I@|I@r10s10tX0uX0v20w402020

and cause it has a hand actuator, those builds might not even fit, the last one you'd strip back to 1 jj and just armor up but its still not a clint... its a 40 ton urbie without the armor.

Right, and as it's the latest mech pack... perhaps it could be removed from the list. Continue down the line of other mechs on the list.

I suppose that is one way to read "last", but I meant the other way.

As I know nothing of the mechs in the Poll, I don't care. I want to play ALL of them!
