Yeah, don't care, not interested. Give me a Blood Asp and/or Kingfisher before the Turkina.

Well at least I have Kingfisher support hahaha.

Why?

That's kind of bothersome to me.. I guess there is no room in this world of Mad Cat Mk. IIs and Blood Asps for the Falcons to get their own assault mech..

Uhhhh yeah there is dude, its called a Night Gyr - ever heard of it? Posted Image

Depends on how wide they actually are, but mainly hardpoint height (the arms are definitely higher, and the energy weapons are probably the same height), and again, the lack of the huge "hood" on the Dire means from straight on it should have a smaller profile/less mech above the cockpit to shoot.

That doesn't mean it is better if it is a cross between the Ebon Jag and the King Crab. That actually means it is going to be worse.

Vertical differences are equal to horizontal differences when it comes to convergence and I'm pretty sure the Whale will have tighter grouping.

Yeah so like the Mad Cat Mk. II essentially. Actually, you could say its exactly like the Mad Cat Mk.II, only that from artwork the ER PPCs would be cockpit level instead of just under the cockpit like on the Mad Cat Mk. II, and it will be slower of course.

Having spent, due to this thread, a whole 15 minutes looking at C.J.F Assault mechs, it became clear in those 15 minutes why there are no C.J.F Assault mechs in the game.

amen.

Took me about 5 minutes, but I've probably spent more time in the past looking at this issue. CJF Assault mechs are an assault on my sensibilities. (Sorry Gas. I just hate the dang thing and have seen nothing to remotely mitigate that)

That said, they at least fit the Falcon play style and level of craziness during that period.

ALL OF OUR MECHS MUST NOW HAVE WINGS AND TALONS BECAUSE WE AM TRUE SUPER SAND LERGENDEH *other crazy gibberish*

*sigh* well I guess its back to peddling this (25DHS, 4 armor points off the right arm, 60 leg armor, can interchange a DHS for ECM (provided F-like variant) or a 6th ER ML added to the left arm if desired, could probably make do with more armor off that right arm too.. its ONLY DHS..)

Making the most out of a limited podspace assault... Quad HLL might be a possibility as well.

Doesn't the Kingfisher H run 2 HLL and 4 ERML or something like that?

That said, I wouldn't expect ECM on it since it has 7 variants with tech that will be possible by the announcement of the next pack and none of them have ECM. That is unless they give us a hero with it magically.

Frankly, with how ECM is getting nerfed with the skill tree I think I would rather have the second CT hardpoint anyway.

Long live the Turkina!

Kingfisher ain't no king.

I believe the reason why there isn't many Turkina, black lanner and fire falcons in the clan touman is because these are very new mechs. They don't just replace mechs on the frontline because of some new design. Such a waste and the clans abhor waste.

I believe the Turkina will bring something fresh and one of the variants will make use of the new weapons as stock.

The game needs some point to have mechs with defining features. I believe the new weapons might do that. Maybe...

More open maps please. Mechs are huge and shouldn't be able to take cover most of the time. Rather, there should be terrain that forces you to use jump.

I miss the Gundam Shrike and its DFA abilities. The wings are massive heat sinks that will let you fire lasers indefinitely.
