Yeah its a shame , if i played those minimally viable mechs i would have to give up my Dorito sponsorship , mountian dew sponsorship , my intel gaming jerseys , and my loft in south korea.

What?

No Thrustmaster, RSeat, or Rado product endorsement contracts, Calvin Klein or Tommy Hilfiger underwear, or an apartment in New York?

Small potatoes. Posted Image

You know I'm with you here, but Russ loves instant pinpoint convergence. Despite the fact that it's entirely against Battle tech Canon and directly responsible for ridiculously short TTK that's needed repeated Band-Aids over the years such as doubled armor/structure, then further quirks, etc... All because the system was never designed to support pinpoint alphas. Buuuut....

It doesn't matter, because Russ will never give that up. Not even a little bit, like situational minor CoF.

But increasing ammo/ton is a pretty trivial change in comparison.

All my Panther 10P has going for it is pin-point convergence. If PGI wants to give it a little bit of extra ammo/ton, I won't complain. It needs all the help it can get.

If no mechs had it, your Panther wouldn't lose anything, comparatively. And Large weapons Like PPCs, etc would be more desirable.

Losing perfect pinpoint convergence benefits lights enormously, too, as even minor deviation (like a situational minor CoF) will cause alphas to hit multiple components instead of just smashing whatever they do hit as the light's hitboxes are smaller.

Perfect pinpoint convergence is a major aspect of why lights struggle so much in MWO.
