Sure it wasn't me? lol, I run 2 gauss 2 PPC on one of my Night Gyrs, and there's a few other people catching on to it as well. It's stupid... but if it works, maybe it isn't stupid. =D

Even if it was that build, that is still only 50 points of PPFLD. Shouldn't cut through my 57 points of CT armor in the first hit in the game, which is something I've been observing in game occasionally.
I've noticed this affect for a short while (a couple patches ago) and I've been trying to confirm it. But it's so infrequent that it's hard to tell (as I need to basically be pristine and take the first hit to see if it happened). I can say I believe I've noticed it when playing my 2 ERPPC Huntsmen, as I've hit a target assault with yellow armor, and then after I hit I noticed that location is nearly destroyed when it shouldn't be... And I've always questioned how my two ERPPC Linebacker could end up dealing 500+ matches with relative ease (before I knew about this possible bug).
Basically, I don't want to say "it's happening", but I've got my suspicions. Other people in my unit, whom tend to be rather alert to game play (AKA: Very good players) have also started to notice it and mentioned that it explains some things that they had seen before hand.

Ah right, you said 57. My bad. There's really nothing in the game that can one shot that amount of damage. It would have to involve laservomit or dakka, and you'd know if you got hit by that.
Record all of your games, all the time. That's the only way to catch freak incidences like that.
I myself have never seen anything like this happen. All weapons in the game seem to deal exactly as much damage as I expect them to, with 100% consistency. There's only been the occasional fluke shots, like hitting a Kodiak's rear side torso from the front, which is totally possible. Same is possible with the MAD-IIC, and a few other mechs.

I don't think it's quite as good as the Timbie. The torso mounts aren't as high, it's a bit slower, and there are no Jump Jets.
Still, a very good Heavy, I agree.
I find between terrain(mount locations) and the generally unfavorable nature of exchanging fire with most Clan mechs at LPL range and that my usual engagement range is around 300m, having 3 LPL doesnt provide a sufficient advantage to warrant banking the majority of my damage on them. And I default to the 2 LPL when heat starts building to keep cool and save the MPL for the quick 30pt dmg shot once my heat has recovered... Both have merit I guess, but i've had a lot of success with that build for the BL-6-KNT against most opponents. Despite being marginally slower, it does have better agility (Twist, turn, accel/decel) and damage spread but... IS XL vs. Clan XL and all that.... Definitely my preferred multi-purpose Heavy:

Seen as I could see the person shooting me... and the sound effects match, and (unless someone else hit me at that exact same time) it was a single aloha (hit me all at once)... I'm fairly certain of what I saw.
But yes, I'd love to record my matches, but I don't exactly have the capability to do so at this time, and I don't even know if my computer could handle recording and playing the game at the same time. I guess one way to find out... Know of any reliable free recording software?
PS: I would like to mention, I've had plenty of strange things happen to me. Yesterday I saw a mech actually walk through a building. I've had an ally and myself see a PPC shot go through a building and hit me (I was willing to chalk it up to HSR, but even my allies saw it go through the building...?)... I really do wish I had it recorded, so I could at least watch it back and see what happened. Sometimes, things just happen so quickly, you are left there going... "what?"
I'd like to add... Rubber terrain is annoying... As well as floating above mechs when you accidentally jump on them... Each has recently gotten me killed.

I use OBS, as do many others. If you have a moderately recent Nvidia GPU, you can use ShadowPlay.
I get about 30-40 fps at best in game normally, and recording with OBS only drops me down about 3-4 frames. I'd say if you can maintain 30+ fps while recording, it's worth it, totally playable. If you have to lower your resolution too... it's not that bad.

WHAT TOPIC!?
So far, the whole topic seems to be a cleverly disguised insult thread towards PGI, as well as opened up with false complaints that have as of yet to be proven nerfs to the TImberwolf. The topic was basically about hidden nerfs to the Timberwolf that never happened.
Thus, by your own handling of this thread, there really is no topic...
Not to mention, as far as topic goes, we are discussing things still related to it. Consider it a "nerf" to armor (I mean, hit boxes by your odd definition) where weapons seem to be causing too much damage sometimes. Which, is still relevant to the non-topic you've already presented.
We are on page ten of a non-topic topic. A topic that never had any topic to begin with, because there have been no hit box nerfs to the TImberwolf since it's release. And we've spend ten pages telling you so, while you've told us of "data" that you can't show us or you'd be banned for hacking... Which means you should be banned for hacking already if that was really the case...
So... Yeah.
Topic you say.
Yeah...

Posts like this are just trolling for trouble.
If he actually had a topic, he's be fully within his rights to ask us to stay on topic. But, as the topic is a thinly veiled complaint... And one about "ninja nerfs" with no proof he can post up... *Shrug*

No more discussion from you about "nerfed" mechs, you don't even know which ones have been.

How about you stick to your own topic and you know, back up your thus far unsubstantiated claims with...
I dunno...
EVIDENCE?
I mean we all know it doesn't exist. But you know, it'll be funny to "see" it. You're the one who can't even stick to his own topic.
