And your saying a Locus or another light should tank 99% of assaults and my Timberwolf dies in 2 direct CT shots? even torso twisting? IM not saying the Timberwolf is not a good mech its just not the mech I paid for just like a lot of you are saying your favorite mechs are now nerfed to hell its just a crapp way to balance the game period.

I'm sorry you want the mech you paid for to be overpowered.

But it hasn't even really been nerfed. Could you point us to the specific dates and changes that led it to be in its current "nerfed" state?

Oct. 2014 - TBR-S gets locked JJs http://mwomercs.com/...tober-road-map/

May. 2015 - All Timbers get laservomit nerfs http://mwomercs.com/...may-19th-patch/

^ most of, or maybe even all of these negative quirks were removed later. The present negative quirks are:

TBR-A Left Torso
Acceleration -5%
Deceleration -5%
Reverse Speed -10%
Torso Angle Yaw -5°
Torso Yaw Speed- 10%

TBR-S Left Torso
Torso Yaw Speed -5%

TBR-S Right Torso
Torso Angle Yaw -5°
Torso Yaw Speed -10%

... that's not very much. Franky, I don't even notice it on my builds, even when running the -A left torso and -S right torso together.

Sorry I disagree totally PGI has nerfed so many mechs hit-boxes there all like butter or paper dolls they cant take no damage like they could back before closed beta I was there I played them all for countless hours so your wrong totally wrong.

And its just not the Timberwolf 90%of MWO mechs are way to weak on hitboxes or armor and die to quickly MWO now reminds me of playing PlanetSide 2 more than MechWarrior.

In this thread you will find a changelog from every time Tamerlin has updated a hitbox recording: http://mwomercs.com/...x-localization/

21-Aug 2014: added Stormcrow and Timberwolf

Here is the image linked, and you can see the date it was uploaded to Imgur: http://imgur.com/8xNLMBU

As you can see, Tamerlin has not revised the Timber since it was first uploaded in August of 2014. The hitboxes have not changed in the past two and a half years. That image is still accurate, and still represents what the actual hitboxes are today. Any suspicions on your part that they have been changed or nerfed in any way is purely imagination.

Look PGI has made MWO almost into a 1 shot 1 kill game and yes a combination of to many weapons per mech and taking away smaller hit-boxes per mech or armor values in secret has made MWO a far worse game over 4+ years.

There are better ways to balance MWO like no alpha shots or less weapons per mech chassis or a less amount of boating weapons ETC.

P.S and T1 META is now so dammm boring in FP or solo POPTARTING PPC or GUASS lame I have a T1 founders and its so crappp anymore at the top levels a lot of players just said good bye and closed there wallets. PGI has taken most of the fun of what MWO was out of the game its a wonder anyone playes it at all anymore.Posted Image

Come again? Do I need to post screenshots of your dmg output, which in every game I see you in, is well below par?

1. When the TBR was rescaled, back 12 months ago during the "great" rescaling, or the great "failing" as I call it, it's torso hitboxes were not touched in any way. All it had was a slight chance in stance due to legs.

2. If you stare at a target, you're going to die in 2 alpha's from a lot of mechs. Given how I've seen you play, you do exactly that. So it's down to piloting skill more so than the mech has been nerfed into some imaginary oblivion.

3. Laser Vom is still just as powerful on a TBR as it is on a EBJ for example. I'd actually say laser vom in a TBR is better as you've got more tonnage, more armour with the same level of cooling WITH JJs as well. How is that in any way, worse?

4. The TBR is still one of the best Heavy brawlers in it's class. Please tell us, what other heavy mechs are better at brawling?

The only think that the TBR isn't as good at anymore, PPFLD. The Night Gyr has taken that crown, but that is the only exception.

I suggest you learn to stop staring at targets as a starting point to improving your piloting abilities. The other one would be basic map awareness. Watch the minimap, stop being caught out alone or walking into a pack of mechs. You might just live a little longer.

Not likely PGI slips nerfs into there patches all the time and never posts the actual changes only a blind man would believe they don't.

And when you own every mech in the game like I do and play them all for hours you can tell what they have nerfed right away after a patch.

So please don't knight here sir you could not be more wrong just like the lies they pulled on everyone when they said they doubled armor or other quack crapp.

Well like I said if you have a favorite mech that's been nerfed or anything related to the topic post away Im sure everyone has there own opinions.Posted Image

Is that the excuse now is it?

What is your main account then? Because this "test" account has a avg match score of a whopping 150. That, sadly, isn't great. I would hope your main account has at least an average match score of 300, which would then suggest you can actually pilot a mech half decently.

"Test account" or not, if you stare at a target and do 100dmg matches, then you'll be doing that on any account.

Stopped quoting now?

Anyway, prove it. Where is your proof that the hit boxes have changed? Prove that the health per component has changed. Explain to us exactly what has changed, so we can see this "evidence" for ourselves.

We've posted (collectively) several well known and accurate sources about the changes done to the TImberwolf. We have posted links to thread where people have specifically gone out of their way and carefully tested these things, such as hit boxes for every mech in the game.

So, I wonder what "proof" you have, besides your "gut feeling".

So it's your word against ours. And our word actually has some verifiable sources to confirm changes over time, whereas yours doesn't. I suppose we're at in impasse, there is nothing you can do to convince us that these "secret nerfs" have occurred, and there's nothing we can do to convince you that they haven't. Even if we recorded a video of exactly how much damage it takes to kill a Timber in 2014, and replicated that video today and proved that there is no difference, you would still try to tinfoil-hat-theory an excuse or explanation, because you refuse to believe that your impressions could be wrong. I kinda feel bad for you.

At least when the mechs that I liked got nerfed, you could point at the exact patch dates and changelogs documenting exactly what was changed.

Your jerkoff account with over 2000 posts that has been around since 2011? Sure. Believable, I admit. But unlikely. This is the typical response we get from trolls who've realised they've barked up the wrong tree, and the floor is now lava. "This isn't my real account." Then what is, and why hide it? Serves no purpose, other than to stir the beehive and listen to the buzzing all while disenfranchising yourself from the whole thing. Trolling.

Your just a forum troll that's all trying to be offensive when you know your wrong I could pull up 300 pages of changes and nerfs they have done since 2011 but it would be against the golden rules.

And yes many of us old guard had day 1 founders accounts and others to test with nothing new you yourself know this as almost everyone you included have other accounts.

You and others have your opinions I have mine but Im not the one being offensive here you are good day sir.

P.S MY opinion is MWO needs to be rebalanced by other means not nerfing mechs as it is my opinion the TTK is to high which most players hate. Longer mech lives or playing time per battle might even bring back some players to MWO along with new players.

While I think the OP is rambling a little bit here and I am not 100% sure what he is talking about I think I get the general gist of the topic.

You think its bad now.... lets see what happens with the skill tree. Im optimistic that it will be improved but im pretty sure as it stood before my Centurions were going to see a cooldown nerf. Especially the CN9-D. I mean come on I have to be mad to use those mechs as it is and they want to make them worse!? Posted Image

Oh and as a general rule (but not explicitly) I like the idea of longer battles with longer TTK. Just a bit at least.

So cut the crap you are not that good herself friend.

Everyone can see your QP leaderboard stats, and everyone can see El Bandito's QP leaderboard stats.

Here's your stats, with 1127 battles played across all seasons: 0.89 Wins/Losses, 0.69 Kills/Deaths, 0.50 Kills/Battle, 167 average Match Score.
And here's El Bandito's, with 1008 battles played across all seasons: 1.63 Wins/Losses, 2.23 Kills/Deaths, 1.23 Kills/Battle, 356 average Match Score.

I don't quote those stats to shame, but to point out that El Bandito's stats are far better than your own, so I don't see how you can be saying El Bandito is 'not that good'.

You can claim this isn't your main account, but that seems doubtful with 1127 battles played on it, and creation date being in 2011, so unless you can provide the username of your 'real' account, nobody is going to believe you.

Further, unless you are hitting 2.00+ W/L and 450+ average Match Score on your supposed 'real' account, you really can't say El Bandito is 'not that good', as his stats are all solidly in the top 5% to 1% range.

I'd like to see where you're getting these 300 pages of changes and nerfs. Examples. Remember, you brought up the Timber as a prime example.

Otherwise, state where in which golden rules you are not allowed to discuss patch notes and mech balance changes.

Who's being offensive? You've made a claim, several people have refuted it. Neither you or us have been offensive in the least. This has been quite amicable as far as forum exchanges and disagreements go.

Black Knight.

To be fair Timber Wolf is still very common in the game and still a top tier mech. There's A LOT of nerfed mechs that needs have a word with you if you think Timber Wolf is nerfed.

Oh boohoo, my poor T1 Timberwolf. Oh the good ole days of the indestructible Cheetah. Waaah! I miss my Black Knight with all its hard points and all its extra range and all its extra structure.

God damn amateurs.

You want a mech that needs quirks to be viable yet has been hit now three times in the last year? Fine. Go play Quickdraws. The 4G, the 4H and even the 5K.

Structure, agility, weapons all nerfed following rescale in June then again in July. I would argue that the SRM spread nerf this last month was yet another nerf to them, and it was particularly cruel to the 4G and 4H since unless you are running the boring 3LPL build (and why wouldn't you) the broken tube count means the only missiles you can reliably take are SRM4s. Now, if you want missiles you NEED Artemis if you want those racks to be viable at range; which is only 2-3 tons sure, but on a tonnage starved mech that hurts...a lot. If you are using those missile hard points as they are intended, then with a whole 4 energy hard points left that means all you have left is room for ML or MPLs. As someone so rudely put it to me recently: congrats you now have a slower, heavier Jenner.

And yet PGI keeps nerfing these oversized Jenners (and are proposing to further nerf them with the skills tree).

So don't even talk to me about your poor, pathetic Timberwolf.

Taro's hit box repository. Taro's statistical analysis of every mech in the game at various points in time. Taro's general knowledge of how mechs perform and why and his willingness to share all of that.

You just called him a "forum troll".

Huh. There's a quip about a lack of self-awareness in here somewhere, and I'm just not able to grasp it while I'm filled with such disdain.

Well after reading this I may go pick up some quickdraws and see how much of a pain to level them up. Since I'm not in a hurry to pick up and meta crap atm, but yeah complaining about the Timberwolf being nerfed to hell that's hilarous these things still tier 0.5 material if you know how to pilot them properly.

Play em with the 3LPL or 4LL/ERLL builds and they are okay. Play them as anything else and you really would be better off playing the damn Jenner or Cicada.
