Nice to hear that it's up.  I just started listening, and it sounds really good.  I'd also like to thank everyone who shared their amazing music with the community.

There is a lot of talent out there, if you know where to look

I'm currently experimenting with Mixxx for live audio shows. Anyone with a passing interest can find info here.

It's a 100% free live DJ tool that allows streaming and mixing. I'll try to add more music soon, and make certain I can make it to the pod casts to live stream them as they're being recorded.

Also, apparently the web player was down and I didn't know. It's back up and working again. I think I need to run cacti again to track all these servers I have.

Also, new music added today:

NoCreeps
Fresh Body Shop
Pornophonique
Bezed'H
Carlos Saura
Milo Fungus
Josh Woodward
Too Many I's
Ruined Machines
Stellar Vector
Larry Crowell

Enjoy!

This is why in-game 'mechs need working radios.

Airtime 2.1 is live, so I'm in the process of switching over. However, the old media client just gave up the ghost in a most spectacular fashion. Instead of creating a temp client, I'm just going to work on getting Airtime operational with live broadcasting, so we can do all that cool stuff when the open beta releases. Like taunting Paul during matches and... taunting Paul during matches.

It's most likely going to say Off Air for a day or two while I tinker with it.

On that note, I'm still looking for DJ's. No real experience necessary. Just willingness to do whatever I say learn.

I might be game for live DJ'ing, but I work odd schedules and would prefer shorter one or two hour blocks. Drop me a line if you want, we can see what happens :)

And we have a live radio show test going right now. Tune in to hear Ter Ushaka getting his DJ on! We'll be testing until ~2pm. If all goes well, you can expect a live show every Tuesday! That should help with the beta blues :D

EDIT: Also, I'm still piecing together the programs. You'll notice that time slots are magically getting music . This is mostly filler and practice for when the lid gets blown off of the MW:O beta and everyone is allowed in. That's when the real fun will begin!

Had a great first show, now I need to scare up more music, unless people want to hear OC Remix for an hour every Tuesday. :P
Also after the show I wrestled with my soundcard drivers, and I've managed to eliminate some of the popping noises during microphone input. There is still some scratch, but that's likely my headset and nothing I can fix without dropping some coin on a new quality unit.

Greetings, Dementites and Dementoids! This week's show will have classical music, and perhaps some opera thrown in for good measure, because nothing beats gunning down your enemy to the sound of "The Marriage of Figaro." Tune in this Tuesday from 1-2pm pacific daylight time (GMT -7) for Radio Free Rasalhague!

Well, it looks like I'm running into a little bit of a technical issue with the HPR servers, so today's show may be on hiatus until next week.

*edit*
I set up a completely separate temporary stream at http://radio.topshell.net:8000 for this show only, come on down!

*editedit*
For people that have missed this show. I will be doing this music list again next Tuesday, July 3rd.

It looks like it was a permission setting in Airtime that caused the issue. One would assume that DJ's that own a show would be able to manipulate it, but noooo. That's some sort of crazy IT logic that the music industry doesn't subscribe to!

That issue should be sorted out. I'm also broadcasting the NGNG podcast live at the usual location started today. We're going to see if mixxx can keep the playback smooth or if we need to switch over to a different system.

Sometimes I feel like I'm paddling a boat in the ocean, except one paddle is an anchor :D.

Dear god, the fake ads are so good. The moment I heard those MW4 sound-effects I shed a tear. This is too good to be true.

Hopefully if they introduce a pure spectator mode to the game, we can broadcast matches in a play-by-play format. I should try and learn how to do a Howard Cosell impersonation.

This is one of the best, most creative fan contributions I've ever seen tied to a video game. Freaking awesome.

Unfortunately, HPR seems to be offline at the moment so I haven't been able to give a listen to the live feed, but I have listened to a couple of the NGNG podcasts and most of the ads, etc. Some of them are very impressive.

It's that time again! From 1pm-2pm pacific daylight time (8pm GMT), Radio Free Raselhauge is back with a slightly modified encore of last week's classical music. I've had to shuffle some music around since Mixxx does not like songs longer than 7 minutes being played on my soundcard, but I've managed to fill the gaps pretty well.

And we are live!

Nice job. Could definitely tell that you were getting more comfortable as the hour progressed; you kind of settled into a groove after a little bit.

Thanks! I'm still getting used to constructing sets of songs to play and to try and have a flow to them. In the past with my old one-off broadcasts for friends I'd usually just throw on whatever caught my eye. :)

HPR needs more DJs, there is so much time to fill. As I've said earlier, once MWO goes open beta I'm going to work on a way that I can do play-by-play for matches. I'm also thinking about taking my iPhone to my local game store and record interviews with players of BTech or MWO (if they play) and so on. I also would like to see some sort of a Mumble/TeamSpeak/Skype-based talk show. Arguments about lore, proper loadout, why pink is the best color, etc. There is quite a lot that HPR can do, I think we just need butts in the seats to help!
