Being a person who doesn't use heros ever, I can say that I firmly don't care about a hero 'mech getting nerfed. I also didn't feel like the heros as they were originally were really P2W, but whatever. I AM happy, however, about the new CBill variants coming. I'm going to get torso weapons on my Mist Lynx for free now. I know everybody hates the Mist Lynx but I like it. So I am quite happy about this. Cool beans.

There are not enough hardpoints, isn't enough ECM, in the entire world to make the Ice Ferret good.

Little do you know the Ice Ferret was already a solid mech until people caught on to the power of the CDA-2B (though that is map dependent just like the Ferret).

Btw, to those complaining about the Ice Ferret getting nerfed, GOOD NEWS, with the new c-bill variant it is actually better than it was before the hero change because it can now run either 6E or 5E and ECM (and all without any hero pods which is important).

CDA-2B

Speak of the devil, I had one of those alongside an Orion 100 to 0 my Timberwolf within one second of looking at me. What the hell are even in those things?

edit: I should then point out that they proceeded to nuke four other people.

5 MPL

Between the 25% cooldown quirk it has, 10% from fast fire, and the 12% cooldown module, it stacks to make a brutal DPS machine if it gets close enough.

Great job, a small number of the loudest whiners have lead to a neutering of the latest clan mech release. Like seriously, Club Penguin shut down, and now the same people want MWO to be their new "safe place".

The same people who whined about it, wouldn't have the skill to make any difference with or with out them anyways. Instead they are just stifling creativity and mech science for every one else.

Congratulations, the terrorists have won.

*Edit:C bill variants I dig, but there are still several nerfed variants that will never have their full glory.

*Edit 2: Holy hell did this do an amazing job at stirring up every social justice warrior, blind pleb, and general MWO stereo type possible. Congrats, you all get blue ribbons just for showing up.

Any ways, back to the subject matter. These mechs got screwed:

"The following Clan Heroes have received changes to their original Loadouts:
• Executioner EXE-CH (jump to changes)
• Shadow Cat SHC-MI (jump to changes)
• Ice Ferret IFR-RC (jump to changes)"

None of these mechs were not in any way OP before, or would of they have been OP after release. I'm cool with 1st day c bill release variants, but as another side affect of the whining from the blue ribbon yearning safe space kids, these 3 mechs got nerfed.

*Edit 3: and you guys whining about the use of the word "terrorism", you play a sci-if game about 100ton big stompy robots that literally murder people with every step they make shooting lasors and death from their bosums. Stop being so sensitive and literal.

Most players just wanted CBill variants for the pods so PGI can avoid hard-paywalls and so the pods/mechs could be used in comp leagues & upcoming ranked queues. I don't remember anyone asking PGI to go this specific direction - they made their own decision.

Really not sure just what it is you're on about.

I'm just bummed about the shadowcat missile hard point change. I really wanted an effective splatcat. Everything else seems good. Overall I think this was a good decision from PGI. And it's especially important to note that PGI listens to the community and responds. No matter what they do they won't please everyone, so if you're displeased by this change then suck it up buttercup.

On a side note, I think Hero Champion mechs should have a loyalty bonus along with the experience bonus so there's still something to be sought after you've leveled the chassis.

Hero mechs have a c-bill bonus, not an XP bonus. You are thinking of champion mechs.

Everyone accused them of pay to win. What did people think would happen to the heroes? I honestly thought they might cancel them. But this seems like a good compromise.

I mostly am just salty about the EXE and Shadow Cat torsos. Those are two of my favorite chassis to play when I'm not being serious, and those torsos would have given them a lot more build diversity.

MWO community - "To much change must stop it!"

That is what was said about energy draw (I agree sucked) and then said about skill tree (still to be seen in game) and NOW about mechs ... so get use to no new content because ... community.

Or in other words:

Buy A Hero Mech, Throw Away 2/5 of It!

Excellent Sales Strategy!

You mean what happens with most hero Omnimechs outside of the Jade Kite?

Why is it that in almost every game and sport, serious competitors open their (or their sponsor's) wallets to get serious gear and training. What makes MWO comp players so extremely "special"?

What makes you think they don't? You don't consider high quality gaming mice, keyboards, low latency monitors, etc as spending money on serious gear? Just because they don't spend money to get "gear" in game doesn't mean they don't spend money...

Not all sports are equal in cost of equipment either, I mean NASCAR teams probably spend waaaay more on equipment than a team in the NFL, NBA, etc.

You entirely missed the point. You're going to get more headway if you explain this instead:
