Maybe they are still keeping get up animation from ages ago, back when knockdown existed.

Could be, or it's just a special animation created to tease some people who like to have crouching function ingame.

Pretty sure that is just a point in the standard walking animation.

Actually, I wonder... if they are intending to make a game engine switch to Unreal, I would question bothering to spend development resources on doing something like IK for cryengine... like how long would you reap the benefits of that?

For about a year and a half. They've stated publicly they don't intend to switch until after MW:V, and maybe not even then. Going to another game engine is a LOT of work.

Probably just a picture from the walking animation. Could also be right after a landing, if it has used jump jets.

Crouching will always be lostech in MWO.

I mean, it's undoubtedly the walking animation, just from a weird angle with a wide misleading FoV.

But you're right... PGI has said they still fully animate all mechs for knockdown and getting up, "just in case."
