Did i just pissed PGI off?

No. But you just pissed me off by causing PGI to nerf rewards. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I think I'll just stay in the corner and whimper. Posted Image

I wonder what my NVA-Saal's pre-hotfix match score might have been as after SEVEN THOUSAND AMS rounds expended...much to the annoyance of all the enemies with LRMs...along with 1 solo kmdd, 7 assists, 351 damage to go with ONE THOUSAND AND FIFTY ONE missiles destroyed... most all of them were directed at my team (I only got the incoming missile warning twice) that I was shielding. 467 Match score on the winning game.

Meh,

It's kind of daft that AMS pays out in this way.

Match score for AMS is simply the most nonsensical decision PGI has ever made unfrotunately (with the possible exception of the Roughneck). I'm all for rewarding people who play a support role, I do it myself occasionally, but catapulting players up the tiers towards a level of gameplay where support roles get less and less valuable isn't too bright IMHO.

Make them pay cBills and XP is the common sense approach. That way they service new players by getting them into more mechs faster and support them to experiment with loadouts since the cost of that is ridiculous for new players. XP will help the top end unlock basic and get out of mechs they'll never use once that's done.

Dunno, maybe they're making enough money now to buy mind alrering substances to put in the Kool-Aid but match score for AMS, roughnecks, a ridiculously laggy new chat system that flashes warnings constantly so you can never tell if someone's PMd you and so on, Incursion game mode that's just base rushing or skirmish with extra stuff to do at the end to waste player time...

Time to put them into rehab maybe? Or maybe just smack them on the nose with a rolled up newspaper a few times while saying "bad PGI". One or the other.

I'm not trolling or raging or anything but this is a very curious patch indeed.

It was 1/3 MS per missile, you would have gotten ~350 MS from them alone

Now...I'm guesstimating one per 7?
My two non-sterile tests were 6.9 and 7.3 Missile per MS
But, as we don't have actual values for any MS item...pure speculation

But the fact they're both near 7 should point us to the right direction.
Less than half of what it was before

By increasing your match score it already does both of these things, I think almost everyone agreed it was too high, and they nerfed it already, so... Seems ok to me, no need to treat the devs like dogs, it was arguably a low level mistake to just drop it on us in the first place with no testing, but meh, it was what like 3 days of testing?

They should add back in the nerfed amount but, to keep the PSR score balance, deduct the match score points from the score of the guy who was targeted by the LRMs because he did not bring his own protection and needed to be carried.

And if said guy was actually using cover, twisting, had his own AMS and did, himself, carry the AMS helper, what would you do, O Wise Salty One ?

Not to mention the coding nightmare ...

This is a red flag to me indicating that the game is too one-dimensional in certain/many aspects. That is not a good thing. Of course, if all we have is an arena shooter ...

Lorcryst, you are right. I am salty from LRMs, from no rewards for helping the team, from rewards that got nerfed so fast I didn't even get to try to max them with an AMS overload mech, and from tier one guys who haven't seen an LRM in a year and aren't afraid of them scoffing about what the reward should be from shooting one down. What I would do is tell both players to turn off their AMS and let each other die if the salt coating doesn't break the missile lock.
