Same here. I was in a Raven-3L, not even the fastest mech. On a map like Polar, if you sprint you can snatch the powercell and no one can catch you unless you stick around. No one even tried to chase me down.

On the flipside if you do manage to catch someone (I'm talking about fast lights) it's often near the base, once he enters he's safe.

I've seen exactly one medium carry a powercelland that was probably because he had nothing better to do. The part that depends on luck is so big compared to the "skill" part that it's not even funny.

I will agree with others, at this point about 2 hours of continuous play and not a single incursion match even OFFERED! Up the frequency, or at least give us a few weeks to get enough games in.

I am staeting to think we need different queues to match modes:

"Team Play" where you are rewarded more for team-based objectives... conquest, domination, assault, and incursion all go in this category

"Unstructured Play(?)" For when ya just want to play big stompy robot and eschew tactics... skirmish, assault(?), and... FFA(!) would all go here. There'd be no group queue, only solo...

This way you know what kind of "play" you are getting when you queue, even if you don't know the mode till after you queue...

Best idea ever offered about game modes and queue system. Give it life, please... (that should be posted it in "suggestion" branch)

P.S. And yes, I know about "faction play" - but even there we need to split queues like that man offered - a lot of players go FP just for "big stompy robots" and didn't care about what really is going on around...

This shows the whole point of the complaints about the Failed Delivery for example. It actually encourages playing against the concept of the game mode, and encourages bad play, but is necessary to have a chance of achieving the event objectives.

Another way of looking at it. By playing the game as you should, and like you stated, is actually significantly adding to blocking many finishing the event, adding greatly to player frustrations. (ie. Less people achieving "Powered up", or "Failed Delivery")

The fuel cell hunt is the most frustrating thing in MWO. I start to hate MWO. Dropping as fast as possibel...in different loadouts..and more..I think I need a MWO break b4 I deinstall this game in frustration.

I'm on the same boat as you, probably will drop MWO until the next major patch in May, after this nightmare is over.

Finally got my 8 of 9. BUT still need to get failed delivery. Never an opportunity. Also recklessness in other modes. Pretty cool to see such aggression.

After i finished the event with a lot of luck (killed a fuel carring Hunchback with the last shot before i overheated and died), i was so happy that i started to help others.

Used a light mech and picked up fuel cells, told the enemy where i am and did let them kill me. I did that for 2 hours and probably helped about 7 or 8 others (since the mode didnt appear that often and sometimes i got killed from some guys, which probbably didnt want the event done and just a fast kill).

I know it is against the rules, since that would be the same as a suicide. And i left my team behind.
But i hope they`ll forgive me and i wont get judged, cause i did it for a greater good, for the community!

Less than 40 hours left, no carrier kill or a word from the devs. Yep PGI don't give a F*** about us.

My problem that the incursion mode appers very-very rare with me, 1 from 15 maybe. I hardly got my 5 incursions challenge.

One postive from the event we are seeing lots of under used mechs and as with so many fast moving mechs, wolf packs are forming which can be a fun way to play which has not really happened after the great rescale

Don't get used to it, is going away as soon as the event end.

OMG finally!!!!!! And a big thanks to Leo Pardo for just picking up a cell and fighting. (Kept a lot of our mechs busy I must say)

I'll be doing the same for the remainder of the event to help others still!!!

People are voting against Incursion now. Out of last 10 matches Incursion was an option in perhaps 2 of them.....last time we got outvoted by Domination!

Yea i'm seeing this too, even tho i'm finally done i keep voting incursion to help out.

Also i managed to get my kill fuel thing by such a clutch.
Took out my only assault i bought ages ago and never play, kdk3.
Dual guass ppc on a polar highlands map aim well and the kill is yours.

Also learned that the build is quite fun, to bad i lack the cbils for another 2 assaults to lvl it up. ^^

Now i will probably do like other's have done, pick up the energy if i can and then continue fight like normal so some lucky guy can get a try to shoot me.
