- I don't care about mechbay!! I also have "envious" on some mech... I just want have event finished! Not kinda - 8\9! Because if you have event - most pleasure in it - finish it even if it hard to do! Hard - but not impossible!!
Right now event can have something like - kill Javelin. Same result.
I can't make killing blow on mech with power cell - if there no mech with power cell or both team make everything to prevent such mech appearing! And no other class mech even if they go alone take no power cell - just go away.
For whole day I see mech with battery in range of 1900m only and only 9 times!
It's just sad when you cant win final goal not because of skill - but just because you have no chance.
See how enemy mech just go suicide with power cell if you nearly get it - just sad.

Honestly this is just developer sadism at its best, the guys at PGI are probably rolling on the floor laughing at us, while we keep asking for then to reconsider it.

Given that it's the weekend I suspect that nobody will read these threads until at least the middle of next week.

Then there may be the usual "Mistakes were made and lessons have been learned..." statement, which is the modern equivalent of "We're gods, go suffer".

They should probably add "kill an enemy mech while YOU carry a battery". That'd encourage people to pick them more and keep them.

I'm seeing plenty of in-game complaints about getting Failed Delivery from guys dropping in Assaults.... If you're dropping in a dire-whale and hoping to hunt down a light you've got some serious issues. I've managed to score it a half-dozen times in my light so far. Speed is key in getting this achievement, if you're in a Griffin or Huntsman you're doing it wrong. Anything bigger than a Viper is going to take more luck than skill.

The challenges haven't been an issue for me, the infrequent occurrence of Incursion is the bigger issue.

This morning I finally got Failed Delivery. Absolute luck. One of my teammates legged a carrier before the carriers team took him out in their base, and I came screeching out of the sky like a chickenhawk, pulse lasers blazing. Got the kill, and died ~3 seconds later.

While I'm happy I finally got the shiny thing, I have to register some discontent with the event. I love the events as a concept, and generally they're reasonably well done. But I dislike event conditions there are essentially luck-based. I don't believe everyone is entitled to get every event prize, but I think everyone should, with some effort, have a reasonable chance of getting them. Failed Delivery has two things going against it:
1. It's been reported that Incursion isn't happening with a high enough frequency. This hasn't been my experience, so I won't comment further.
2. The action that needs to happen (kill an energy carrier) is very situational. You have to land the killing blow on a mech carrying an energy cell, and by and large the cells are being carried by the fastest, most elusive mechs in the game. Who are trying their darnedest to get back to friendly territory alive. It's gotten to the point where teams will dutifully grab energy cells, and fight with them, to allow the other team a shot. Even given that, I'm willing to bet that there would be a large number of Incursion games played where no one has killed an energy carrier.

Every other condition in the event is going to happen as a natural course of game play: whether or not you are able to accomplish any given task, someone has gotten credit for something.

This event really should be longer than a weekend. I'd like to see it be at least a week. RNG plays too much of a role in this event, most of the matches aren't even the right game mode.

I also find some people are using this Battery Carrier kill to grief other players by killing or face hugging the target mech when they don't need it.

I played from 3pm-9pm yesterday to try to finish the event.
for 2 hours I was playing with a group.
for 6 hours I was playing solo, cycling games as fast as I could to try to get incursion (2-5 minutes in game + 3 minutes queue time). I got Incursion 7 maybe 8 times total. People trying very hard to win their quick plays and playing on a normal person's schedule while trying to do the challenge WILL NOT FINISH

In TS multiple people have said they have given up on the challenge already "Because I havent even started the secure 5 energon cubes yet". this is like the easiest thing on the list, they dont even understand how the game mode works yet. Seriously, people cant even get the game mode, and are giving up because its not remotely feasible for normal working / family people.

Killing the carrier is almost impossible, and once people complete that part of the challenge, they will stop voting for the mode. The people who dont join until monday / tuesday, wont even get to play because everyone is going to vote against this mode bc the balance is so garbage.

If PGI had people working for a champion / hero instead of a mechbay they might be excited enough to put up with it.

tl;dr - this wouldnt be so frustrating if it were not impossible to get the game mode.

So I might not be the first to say this but does anybody else feel like this mode roll out and event are so bad that they can't be an accident? For last couple of days I'm been feeling like a rat in a PGI maze. And the cheese at the end is a mechbay. A mechbay???

Hahah, trust me man, I'm going to be actively voting any mode other than Incursion after this mess. Even if it's the hated Escort.
Edit: My point is I want to actively vote against this game mode so it is seen as an utter failure. After this event I encourage all to do the same. Nobody's going to play it the way it was intended anyhow.

I think it was moved forward to get the data they did not get in the testing server. it was bad on test it is still bad on live.

Nope. If the event was designed poorly, that doesn't reflect on the Incursion game mode.

I have my complaints, but I will also give credit where it's due: PGI is finally making game modes with more convincing objectives.

It doesn't depend on a gate that's held shut by a generator (who the **** would design a fortification like that?) or standing on a piece of ground until the box in the scoreboard is the right color. If PGI wants to make an effort towards realism, I'm going to encourage that.
