Wow... so much to reply to... I think I had better get started here!

The whole point of events is to keep people playing the game and numbers up, handouts of a few days of premium time with events is also a good way to get people play LOTS for the following few days. I agree premium time is bad for our health if you have OCD like dev (or myself) but supposedly the majority of the human population have this mysterious thing called self control and life neccessity prioritisation.....
It isn't even just a matter of health. Even if you do control yourself and keep yourself from playing, any Premium Time that you've earned from Events is auto-ticking without you being logged on. Oh sure, you can go deal with your Real Life Issues, but that Premium Time that you've earned won't be there when you get back. That's why it should NOT be so easy to accidentally acquire in the first place. It's like PGI doesn't care if they leave something nagging your mind even when you can't do anything about it. Yes, they need people playing in order to keep the game lively, but they should NOT be doing it through methods that cause people to potentially ignore Real Life things. Heck, if I avoided playing MWO as much as some people would like me to, I wouldn't be playing MWO anymore. Multiply that by a fair share of the MWO Community, and there goes the game back all the way into the Stone Age.

Im much happier with the premium time that I would be with 10 supply cache keys , 250 MC worth ?
I guess you didn't look at it through the path of potential wins from Supply Caches. Those 10 keys could result in the maximum equivalent of anywhere from 30 days to 70 days of Premium Time. That's worth, what, 6900
(
MC) potential total or more??? But at least with the 'Supply Keys' path, it's a hell of a lot more controllable as to whether you end up with Premium Time or not, and then nobody can actually be angry and/or cry over wasted time. That's why I would personally prefer 'Supply Keys' over directly receiving the Premium Time. Even if someone didn't get any Premium Time, they could at least not be stuck with so many spare Supply Caches. That 250
(
MC) of Supply Keys is worth more than you give it credit for.

Also, getting 10 fuel cells x 24 people at 3 fuel cells with 2 min respawn, thats going to take A DAMN LONG TIME and everyones going to be dropping 155kmph mechs to try to get to them 1st.
THAT is going to actually be funny to look at. Anybody got some spare LRMs for "Bug Swatting"?

I do like supply cache key rewards, just prefer the 300 MC events the most followed by 3 day premium time events followed by colors followed by warhorns followed by mech bays, then maybe cache keys. And im very happy about the free BNC-3M(c) we got, i would never have bought the mech but discovered its a great mech, had a lot of QP 1000 damage games in it.
I earned a BNC-3M(C) from the 2017 "Lucky Charms 3" Loot Bags too. Very happy (
and thankful to PGI) to have it, even though I haven't been able to use it much of anywhere yet. (
I've also been glad to get each of the other Mechs that I've earned from Events, too!) Cycling down through the list, though... I would agree that getting
(
MC) holds top position, first followed equally by Mechs/'Mech Bays'/WarHorns/Colors/Decals, followed then equally by 'Supply Keys'/GXP/
(
C-Bills)... But due to Real Life, Premium Time holds no position of care/like with me, and is relegated effectively to last place in my eyes. Supply Caches themselves don't get a spot on the list either because I keep getting them from match rounds like 'rabbits popping out of magic hats'. (
Yeah, I'm really sitting on a ton of those geodesic baubles right now.)
Anyway, please excuse me while I get a little bit of rest before this Event pokes itself in on my mind/body... I'll definitely be giving your post a Like for the Discussion Value.
