It's abit riddic how low amount it spawns.

Here's from 12 hour gaming session, 2 or 3 of these games were before the event started aswell, so those doesn't count.
Still lacking kill fuel cell carrier and destroy a base or 2 more.
Fuel cell is mighty annoying, several times i got kmmd but never landed the kill. And tbh i don't care for the mech bay, i want the warhorns. ^^

On the bright side i've decent wlr on this mode for being in quickplay pug.

1. Fuel Cells are too rare to complete quests.
2. Incursion is too rare (less then 1 of 10 !!!! FFS LESS THEN 1 of 10!).

1+2 = change rules or extend this event.

P.S. Idea is good but it's unpossible to do when incursion is one of 10 or even 15 matches and have only 3 fuel cells (to be correct - never saw more then 1 picked by single team before match ends by destroying base).

This is single handedly the most toxic requirement I've ever had to do in over 2 years of playing this game. I still can't do it.

95% of the way to killing someone 5 times then I lose it. Either to someone else or lrms. I really hope that gets changed to KMDD or something, it's just plain utter horrible.

Have not got Incursion Yet today...

"Delivery Failed" is nearly impossible to complete, its very difficult to find one and you have to chase a light mech(+130 kph) wich is avoiding to fight!Posted Image

It's also just very frustrating, and is leading to weird scenarios. I would almost go for a team kill now if i would have a competitor haha :X The other requirements are actually very realistic to fulfil by just playing. Add option KMDD would be fair i guess.

They'd only care if we start refunding mech packs and refusing to spend a dime. $$$ is the only metric that sways them.

Just did a match where it should qualify and that should be the last one but man that "Delivery Failed" challenge was highly highly toxic. Everyone stood near a cap point and no one wanted to take it for the whole match. Luckily 1 last player on their team decided to nab it on the other end and then everyone tried to gun him down.

Enjoyed all the other challenges but chase the squirrel was the worst by far. We should be encouraging people not to.

My one complaint is Delivery Failed: it seems only achievable randomly. My experience with Incursion is that there's an initial rush of lights for the energy modules, whoever tags first scampers back to base, and then it's a swirling melee and the objectives go out the window. Every other achievement is either something you can attempt organically (like being a light mech in that initial rush), or is something that will happen as part of the natural flow of the game (destroying bases, killing mechs). With Delivery Failed, it seems you have to get lucky. That, and the semi-low instance rate of Incursion, makes this frustrating.

Talking with other players, it sounds like the strategy is to slip around and camp inside the other teams base, waiting for a delivery. Which seems... wrong.

This "Achieve 1 Killing Blow against an Enemy 'Mech while it is carrying a Fuel Cell" is starting to feel impossible, people are just camping the energy areas, others are just rushes bases... and when do you get close to a kill on one, another person steals it away.

It's unbearable especially with how rare getting incursion is.


I just want the mechbay.. :/

That's not exactly a comforting answer, as it points to the game having systemic problems that go beyond the scope of the event.

1) Why wasn't this feature already programmed in, especially since someone already thought to do it for the maps?

2) Why didn't someone program this feature before the event was started? Does the event team not talk to the programming team? Even if it wasn't feasible to control the frequency of game modes, you could have added a queue system for this event that had the options for those maps and game mode hard-coded.

3) The feedback on the major problems with this event was almost instantaneous. The game mode doesn't come up often enough. It encourages people to disconnect/suicide out of non-Incursion matches. The Roughneck doesn't appear on the field often enough, probably because it didn't sell enough units. Why weren't these issues discussed before the event was announced? It seems pretty simple to sit the people responsible down in a room and say "This is our upcoming event. What are some possible problems and what can we do to mitigate them?"

My biggest complaint so far is aside how seldomly the mission pops up. The chances of even Finding a roughneck makes it the worst out of all the challenges to obtain. I've gotten into...maybe 6-8 so far and not seen a single roughneck at all once. I've finished everything else on the list but that. The chances of even finding a roughneck in time is pretty poor if you ask me. This one was an unnecessary of a challenge that seemed redundant to add at the end.

Been lurking the forums for years without posting much, but this event is ridiculous. Have played 8 straight matches without having Incursion so much as an option. I played more Incursion BEFORE the event went live, FFS.

PGI... what are you people smoking? Like for real... get your sh*t together! Every couple of weeks there's a new f*ck-up. I really wanna love this game, but you make it so difficult. It kinda gets tiring after a while...

DELIVERY FAILED: ACHIEVED

Going in I thought this was going to be the hardest but I've managed to get it at least 4 times in my Huggin. Take a light and rush to a battery at the start, odds are you'll meet an enemy doing the same thing. Get a few hits in, (go for the legs), feign "retreat" and hide behind a wall while they take the battery. Circle round and finish them as they're about to make their run back. If you arrive late don't panic, they've had to stand still for 4seconds to collect giving you enough time to catch up and you know they have the battery, after that it's a straight brawl to the death or opening up on their RearT as they retreat.

Good luck getting it in anything going less than 110kph though.

Two modules I recommend for this, Adv. Target Decay and Adv. Sensor Range, being able to pick up the enemy lights and see what battery they're going for as soon as possible is invaluable.

EDIT: Yes, drop rates suck, they need to lower the rates of every non-incursion map to indirectly boost its chances. And FYI, hardest challenge for me was getting an RGH, damn things are getting rarer as people master them.

So I just got out of a match that had a Cyclops on our team as last 'Mech standing. I think he was waiting in the enemy base for a battery carrier and just staying out of range of the turrets.
If you're going to run achievements/goals in an event, why run ones like Delivery Failed that are inevitably going to encourage toxic play? If the objective of the event was to get players used to playing the game mode as intended, I don't think it worked out.
I don't want the last achievement, I just want an at least semi-cohesive team, i.e. no lights running to their deaths or assaults camping the enemy base. So far this weekend, the best games I've been party to have been anything but Incursion.

I bought the Roughneck but this event doesn't promote me using it, it basically makes everyone who uses a Roughneck a walking target cause the whole enemy team is gonna try to kill them. There is the Leaderboard, but only the most skilled pilots really benefit from trying (I for one never bother with Leaderboards). Also the event promotes the use of Lights and Mediums, so therefore people that have Roughnecks can't use it if they are trying to complete the Light and Medium only objectives.

I'll most likely pilot Lights and Mediums and see if I can get Incursion to pop up, but so far yesterday I've not even had one in 3 hours of playing...

The lack of Incursion as an option makes it tough to do the event, and add that to the very particular circumstances for the delivery failed challenge make this infuriating. I would rather it be anything else, or like add an option for some kind of similar thing to do to get the same reward, like an either/or situation.
