How come every time there's a new cry/whine thread posted it's always someone with a smoke jaguar pic.

I need to say a few things (shocker there)
First to everyone saying the Kodiak is the problem please stop that ****. The KDK3 is the problem and not differentiating between the two is how we got the global nerf which is why you only see the three and SB anymore (minus people doing elite and master and the rare unicorn.) I would really like that the collateral damage not screw the rest of the chassis AGAIN.
Second the MAD IIC doesn't spread as well as people think if you aim for the center of your hitbox of choice. Also they don't normally have good symmetrical builds so learn the variant and take off the deadly side. You will find that it isn't a terror if you isolate side torsos first, and it loses mobility to boot.
That being said several of the IS assaults are in bad shape which I hope the tech imbalance will address at least a bit (not going to lie I don't think it is going to be a magic bandaid though it should reduce some of the issues.) The Kodiak line does need help (minus the three) but it isn't a pressing matter currently.

To be honest though, if he is talking about a Kodiak that isn't the 3, OP is pretty correct on it being over nerfed. The torso twist boosts hurt anyone who was planning to build brawler Kodiaks such as the Spirit Bear or any of the other variants running close up builds. Those brawler builds already were not meta and it makes people using the KDK-3 go right to the UAC or poke meta builds rather than sticking with the LBX versions since a torso twist nerf barely effects the UAC and poke builds that were overperforming.
KDK-3's meta builds have not been touched by the nerfs except for the removal of the minor quirks that the Kodiak variants came with. Meanwhile all the weaker builds and non optimal variants have been beaten and nerfed down over and over when they never needed it.
And if we aren't talking quick play and move into FP they are practically extinct due to their high weight and getting focus fired instantly unless you have a full 12 man team of Kodiaks and the lowered Clan drop deck tonnages.

As if the KDK isn't good enough as is. That being said, in the hands of bad pilots no mech is good. I love running into bad KDK-3s. I have no problem dueling them in my Roughneck.

If we aren't talking about the 3 then I agree the other variants got a rough deal

KDK-3 is still OP, Spirit Bear is still great, and apart from the KDK-2, the other variants are fine.

MAD IIC is the king right now, has more speed and a better shape for spreading.
I would say no. I can't count the amount of times I've melted off their side torsos in laser vomit builds. At least the Kodiak can decently cover a side torso when torso twisting.

Eventhough the KDK3 has been nerfed, I'd noticed that my Average Match Score is still about the same.

It doesn't have any of the stupid buff's the IS have and yet its been nerf'ed in to Oblivion.
In fact its been hit so hard, its now become a rarely used piece of equipment.
I know a lot of you are going o say this is because of the weight reductions, but it is also this way in Quick play.
I know a few (very small amount) of you are going to post that you use it, an congratulations, but the powers that be have made it almost a mythical mech. Rarely seen and too under-performing now.

Sorry my Kodiak's don't seem to have gotten your message - neither have other KDK players.

Been out of the game nearly 6 months. Did anything happen to the KDK? I only use SB, so IDK. The last time I used KDK3, it was just care bear stare down the unfortunate soul till they died.
6 months ago, the KDK destroyed anything that was even near it. It wasn't even a T1 mech, it was on a whole other plane of existence of its own, and pre-UAC10 nerf, it was literally a cheat code.
