Mad Cat II - Still concerned this is a battlemech with fixed hardpoints - it was an omnimech in MW4:Mercs. Have pre-ordered it regardless of that.
As you can see here, it is a battlemech with fixed hardpoints.

Not too bad looking...

The IS UAC/20 is 2 barreled, so does that mean it'll be burst fire?

They didn't say for sure, but there's a HUGE probability that the UAC's will be "Clan projectile count -1", as that both fits with the UAC5 being single shot and prevents concerns with firing 2x20 damage shells.

So you'll get 2 5-damage shells out of the UAC10 and 3 6.7 damage shells out of the '20.

Awesome looking, looks promising. Keep it cool, use constructive feedback and stay on track.
Love the Cougar, I might pick up either a Uziel or MCMK II.
However I wish the side torsos could be a bit more protrouding, not as flat, even with weapon pods added, still to flat. Also the Cougars glass roof should be replaced with metal. Like the ones in past games.

See the side torso pods/arm pods?? are kinda squarish triangular and thicker.

Well, the IS UAC5 is 3 barreled and it's not burst fire.

That said, popular opinion is the IS UAC10 will be 2 round burst shots and the IS UAC20 will be 2-3 round burst.

Still hoping the IS ultras will stay on course as not burst fire weapons, like the is uac 5. Sure 2 x UAC20 sounds monsterous but it could get higher heat than AC 20 to balance it out. Or turn down the AC 20 heat and add the old ghost heat to the UAC 20 that the AC 20 had.

Hmmmm......

I really wanted to pre-order one of these, as I haven't spent any money on this game since I bought some MC for the end of year mech bay sale. I was looking at that MADII because it'll cost the most for c-bills later, but pre-order prices are all the same.

.......but just like its little brother, those MASSIVE "Ears" if ya have the missile pods on are really making it hard for me to shell out the money. Especially since wanted this as test bed for ATMs as well.......darn it all! Decisions, Decisions???

Just watched the vod. Thank you for doing this.

Really happy with the 3d models. If you could do something like this in the future, I would appreciate it. Great to see the models before the early adopter period ends.

Really liking the Mad Cat MkII so far (others look good as well, but aren't as important to me since the MkII is my favorite mech).

I feel I should mention that I don't particularly like how far out of the arms the Gauss Rifles stick, though. It doesn't match up with the concept which looked really sleek. I think the missile pods getting a bit sleeker and wider was a good choice, though. Further still, those ERMLs on the side torsos look a bit too big compared to the mech.

This is exactly the question I want to see answered and the reason I listened to the whole 1 hour of video for...

Whether or not we can use LB-20X ACs and Heavy Gauss Rifles with Light Fusion Engines is kind of a big deal.

You don't need to ask this to them. The crit size and tonnage are always the same of TT (go check Sarna).

So, i'm not watching an hour long video. Was there anything on there that WASN'T just useless info on mechs and what they look like? Cause I couldn't care less about the mechs aside from the Madcat.

Always was a Battlemech. See the Sarna entry.

People might get the wrong impression because: 1) All mechs in MW4 are sort of omni. 2) there is a cutscene in MW4 where the character reports the first sights of the Mad Cat MK II and says "it's clearly an omnimech" (couldn't find the video in Youtube right now). That guy clearly has no clue.

Really hoping that the Mk II's barrels for the Gauss and other barrels are brought more into the arms. Like how the Supernova and Marauder IIC are. Set the mounting "plate" further back in the arm and have the barrels now stick out so much. Thing would be perfect then! :D

It's only me or the MCII-2 is missing two missiles pods and 2 ER Medium Lasers? "This version of the Mad Cat Mk. II keeps a single Gauss Rifle, found in the right arm, and two ER Medium Lasers of the standard configuration. The torso LRM systems have been replaced by a quartet of Streak SRM-4s"

I agree, actual boxes are unwatchable

Maybe a stupid question but, will Laser Heat Sinks be available for all the Clan 'Mechs as an upgrade?

Is no one else worried of the big "Hit Me Here" head hitbox on the Annihilator? All the other mechs look great in this area.

For example:

The Uziel and Mad Cat Mk II "Showoff" models are just to show off different weapon geometry.
