Agreed. I go through like 10,000 mouseclicks a day, this really isn't as many as you think it is.

Not just clicks, but you also have to move your mouse slightly, AND read a tiny bit, AND sometimes zoom in and out, ANNNND you are even forced to breath at the same time or you die, AND!12!!@3! Sometimes I even get doughnut cravings right in the middle of all of it!??@!9!56!!

Yay now we're complaining about clicks. Bunch of grown men being toddlers. Quit the game if you're so bent out of shape.

MWO is now a thinking man's clicker.

The skill maze is like Minesweeper in older versions of Windows, just less fun.

Are you gonna play 360 different mechs in a day? It is not gonna be a big hassle once you max out 10 or so mechs.

And the best part is once life-giving quirks are stripped from many of the mechs in the game, only about 10 of them will be playable anyway! See - look at the time savings PGI is giving you! Posted Image

Dear PGI;

Please add a random chance for landing on a "bomb" node that resets your skill tree mid configuration, that gets increasingly difficult for higher tiers, we need a challenge in our mechbays dagnamnit!

Realistically, aren't we just going to select X number of mechs that we play regularly, re-skill those and get to the rest "later" where "later" is whenever we need them?

Even WITH OCD they have to draw the line somewhere!

"I don't need that mech reskilled.

It doesn't bother me.

Not at all.

OK.

It bothers me, it bothers me a lot!

AND THE ONE'S STILL GREEN!"

Unless people cannot control their OCD.

Technically, if they could control it, it wouldn't be OCD.

Shouldn't the thread title be 32760 clicks maximum?

It should be titled; "Wanted; laborer who will click nodes for $$$, my breadstick fingers can't handle the clicks"

32760 Clicks Minimum to get my Mechs back to satisfactory operating mode. Not including skill point migration clicks, save clicks and Mech selection etc.

Cmon PGI some streamlining is in order.

Logical Fallacy of Exaggeration / Stretching the Truth / Overstatement

The logical fallacy of exaggeration / stretching the truth / overstatement occurs when a point is made by saying something that might be true, but the truth has been distorted in some way.

The suggestions and recommendations about streamlining the amount of clicks

Have no down sides and would help PGI fulfill its goals and players have more

Which is why they won't be done. PGI is not going to back down on this one. For some stupid reason, they think this skill maze is the proper future of MWO.

The difference is; making a point about how you feel the skill tree is some kind of blatant cash grab is a valid concern,

Complaining about how many clicks you have to make is petty and fodder for equally ridiculous responses.

Except it's not a "ridiculous" complain. Yes, it is the least of all the problems with the skill maze, but it is still a problem and yet another example of the shoddy UI and coding that went into this mess. The skill maze UI is horrible and off-putting. It's yet another thing that gets in the way of actually playing the game and having fun, and it will certainly turn away new players once they get a good look at how tangled, sloppy, and stupid it is. The endless mouse-clicks required are just the icing on that cake.
