Thank you PGI. I enjoyed the event an only missed one day for work. I got lots of items out of this event. I also got some frustrations. The events bring out the uber-crazies who forget this is a game and an escape from reality. I made some new virtual friends, got a chance to place this event as a Clanner for the first time.

I have a suggestion for you guys. Please announce a quarterly event play forum. You do not have to go to much into detail on what will happen. Players who know the game well are aware of yearly events/tournaments. New plyers and casuals (like myself) are not aware or infrequently have access/time to play.

By announcing something like we expect and event to run from this time to this time, make sure you lock in your faction or mercs beware taking or breaking contracts by a certain date. I think te angst and frustration will go down.

I did pay attention to the last event and made sure I was with one of the two clans I currently like the most in the game.

This would allow players to manage their factions better.

PGI fix those goddamn discos. I was caught today in an endless drop deck loop and then kicked out after my second drop! Thats inacceptable!

The event's been good, but the scoring system P.G.I used is extremely flawed. It's P.G.I showing their usual sloppy thought to design.

The event should be about invasion, but gaming scouting, brings units far more rewards, because of how it's scored.

Invasion should give far more points to the final tally, but because of the scoring system however it's far better for units to break up into fours and farm PUGs in scouting.

I like coming up against a unit in Scouting. It makes the victory all that more sweeter. Wish the matches counted towards pilot rating Posted Image

But it's a fair point. Invasion uses 4 mechs and takes up to 30 minutes; Scout uses 1 mech and takes up to 10 (and let's be honest, it's nearer 5 minutes). It should be weighted 4:1 in favor of Invasion.

Would be interesting to see how some Units picked up the equivalent of 38 - 40 full unit FW drop wins in a matter of a few hours . . .

In most scouting matches, after two minutes the score is typically around 3-1...

But with some players the first dozen intel are captured in less 2 minutes, at which point their dropship is already called in and the game ends soon after, with scores as low as 5-15 (because they also manage to capture every last intel point by the time the dropship takes off).

And I'm talking about huge maps (like Polar highlands) and even heavily cluttered maps (like River City)...

And that was with 2+ mediums in their group... so imagine with 4 lights instead.

At which point the problem might be that the intel positions are not random but semi-random, and some players have mapped out all the possible semi-random positions, allowing them to jump straight from one intel to the other as if they were playing a game of Pacman.

WTF moment guaranteed when it happens to you, specially when it happens more then once in a row :)

I hope that PGI sees the absolute joke that this tournament shows. The game is completely unbalanced. You can no longer deny the absolute fact that the clans are OP. This is proved by looking at the "tug of war". It shows 100% currently in favor of the clans. Even the best names in the innersphere (which does NOT include me... because i just don't care anymore, your money grubbing mech sales and nerfing of the innersphere have made me lose all interest in the game) cant even keep up the fight long enough to get the percentage going in our direction. Only one of the clans scores at the moment are even below that of any of the innersphere and only by very little.

Now that it has been proven the game is broken... i hope that you will consider fixing it before you bring in another broken idea like your stupid skill tree joke that will further break the game. It almost feels like you're doing this on purpose... like you want to break the game. the only reason i can think of you doing this is because of your work on the other game your working on...( i know... its a vague statment because you all seem to have every other priority before the actual functionality of this game).

You have catered to the clans and the Mercs the entire journey of this game. Now your game is like a stuck pig... bleeding and dragging its soon to be dead corpse across the floor. To be completely honest... i don't really play the game much anymore. I came back for the tournament just to see if you had fixed anything... imaging my heartbreak when i found that you have further destroyed it and have plans to drive the final nail in the coffin with that abomination of a skill tree.

It's pathetic that you have catered to the side you like the best instead of making a stable and balanced game. Hope you have fun with your joke.

To Peppapigs point though... as much as i want to see the stats, it will be tough to judge the scout abusers from the units that only had 2-4 pilots on and opted to scout. How would you distinguish them from the many units that raced to the top of the leaderboards by dropping 3+ scouting teams at the same time?

Last time I checked, ribbons weren't given to the units that best avoided invasion....

Without actual stats can't really say for sure but having been on the recieving end of IS fire it doesn't feel Clan are OP (maybe biased but believe me you can tear through us Clanners especially with your weight advantage). Look at the team stats not just the faction It's a lot closer at that point except for the outliers and then if we used many peoples own arguments then we need to nerf Smoke Jag as they are obviously OP and buff Kurita and FHR as they are obviously suffering from some underpowered weapon or armour!

Fighting Clan can feel like they are OP as Range and ECM are strong with this side. IS have the brawl and close range advantage, but have to get in close to use it.

I still hold the opinion that PGI should just allow any mech on any side and then it is pilot/unit/faction vs pilot/unit/faction.

Once Civil War patch is dropped please allow all mechs for all sides. As you are moving the time frame forward it would match.

Badass rewards. I had to miss a day though.

It was neat to see that FP isn't just the funnel maps anymore. I won't be playing FP after the event though. You guys should add all game modes to quickplay so we can have some semblance of fair matchmaking and still enjoy spawns, invasion, scout.

Ok, now let me tell few words about balance. That's 3rd Tukayyid event. And 3rd win for the Clans. Since 1st a lot of changes were made but PGI LOOK AROUND !!! What did You changed ?! Absolutely NOTHING! 3rd event - same results with different %. You have nerfed clans (that was IMHO a mistake), buffed and nerfed IS... But game still is broken! Consider OTHER WAY to change a game! What else You need to see - those 'quirks' and tonnage tweaks did nothing - faction play was and still is all about long-range-poking(sniping), those who can do more damage at 800-1000m will easy win. And that's the Clans. Only few games since event start I saw brawlers in work, other 90% - long range sniping. Go on PGI, keep nerfing and buffing technology and tonnage and keep broken game mechanics unchanged!
P.S. Last 2 years = huge disappoint in PGI because all that time they did nothing to fix the game and made nothing except adding more "trashmechs" and useless tweaks. Even new  game mode is useless because no one wants to play it after event ends.

P.P.S. Still need to say "thanks" for the event - a lot of "free" stuff and valuable reason to log in...

Thanks for the event PGI! Great prizes, enough time to get them :)

Clams are not OP.
Spheroids are not OP.

On the other hand good team work, tactics and communication in my experience can be OP :)
I guess we gotta work on those first before claiming one tech base pre-dominates the other IMO.

Have fun guys and see you on the battlefield :)

Thank you very much for this event PGI. In my humble opinion this was the best event yet. Very nice prices and tasks, yet as many mentioned before scouting missions should be weighted less point wise as they take less time to complete. Keep it up! Posted Image

A very big shout out to the [77BW] 77TH Black Wolves Company. Been dropping like 85% of the time with these guys. Relaxed and fun people and skilled drop callers. So if you happen to be a filthy mercenary looking for a unit to join they might be a good pack to join! Posted Image

And why is Tukayyid labeled for the wrong clan? Posted Image

Drop on Polar whatever the cuss. And what do our IS pugs decide to do? Engage in long range trade with an enemy with superior range weapons. Yeah, yeah...

I generally enjoyed the event.

Next time though let's somehow figure out how to better balance the teams. IS losing every day, and pretty badly according to the tug of war bar throughout the entirety of the event, was not fun or encouraging.

The biggest why this even was different from the other two events, either more players went Clan in that attempt for quick drops and the funds, less IS players dropped, but likely a combo of both. The last 2 events had LONG IS queue times then later into the night Ghost drops.

Wolfs getting Smoke Jag winnings has been bug throughout FW 4.1. Nice if PGI could fix that, not that it really matters.

Okay, as an IS player, I keep true and play IS. This event (yes I said event, not tournament, for tournaments are balance in most cases). This to me looked like an event to show changes where needed.

Now don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the event, but it came to a point, IS players got so crushed by the constant losses with few wins; they began to fight with and cuss at each other. Yes, I'm happy to say there where many talented and composed players, but fact was, even many of them quit early and now hate the words "Faction Play". Altogether it was actual very depressing see friends and fellow players I have know for some time starting to hate the game or decided to go Clan.

And yes, Lore was not a factor in the event, if so PGI would have done the release of advanced Star League tech, or the stuff they already had in the pipe line early, about half way through event. But fact is, this is a game and PGI would loose good players and income if they chose to go heavy lore.

So what is the conclusion, hope the new era brings balance and the faction play, I and may others enjoy, becomes more of an even playing field. I like Clan a little stronger, that makes it more challenging, but to totally overwhelmed is another matter.

In the end I was a little put out, but it was still a nice little break from the norm, and I got a little cash to work with.

Thanks.
