But sadly i have to admit that the current event sucks badly. I'm on IS side and mostly attacker on siege. This always ends in a disaster. So for me it looks like that the event serves the purpose to feed the clan as i dont see any chance for IS - esspecially for the higher matchscores where you can get 10kk as reward but getting this while beeing stomped is impossible.
I'm just doing my personal challenges no matter the result and get my rewards (at least the achievable ones). You really have to patch this event. Doenst make fun in pubs at all...

Thankfully the event is set up as such that Win conditions are minimal (8 scouting wins in 10 days) and most of it is just being competent even when things are going sideways.
There are many IS players that are dropping almost exclusively in 10-12 man groups and mostly winning, but seals getting clubbed outnumber us. So yeah its a little annoying that some players might be cranking wins but its clearly not enough to turn the tide...

but Mercs (the big, mean, stompy kind of ..) vs pugs / loyalists. And those mercs happen to stay at Clan, especially Smoke Jag.
When its a pugs vs pugs, you can hope for 50/50 win-lose chance, only team with better coordination and focus firing win.
When its a premade from top-10 units, its a stomp, doesnt matter IS or Clan.
I have one match against EVIL, siege mode and we have attack side. And, they all aggresively come out from the base and stomp all of us. Ended the match with 48 - 10 loss.
I think PGi should make an incentive for loyalists, maybe a more tonnage in dropdeck? For example :
IS loyalists : 265 ton
Clan loyalists : 250 ton
Mercs / freelance : 240 ton, no matter IS or Clan contracted
Well, this not going to solve the tukayyid event, but maybe for FP in general.
Pug vs 12 men unit with comms and seasoned tactis is hopeless. You can be clan or IS but the unit will win 100% of time. Maybe PGI should divide the FP battles between solo players and *groups* (not units as they did during FW phase 3, but groups) introducing some sort of matchmaking. By default, it should be pugs vs pugs and groups vs groups, switching to pugs vs groups only if a match could not be created.
Moreover, I think PGI should change the desing in order to limit the snowball effect. Snowball effect is unavoidable in a 48 vs 48 drop but I think it could be mitigated.
If one faction is winning in terms of kills or objective, the other one could get some sort of additional reinforcments in terms of additional mech tonnage to the dropdeck. E.g. , clans are winning 15-4, Spheoids can substitute one of their mech in the dropdeck with an heavier one in order to turn the tide of battle. I do not pretend it's a solution, it's just some food for thought. Snowball effect is the worst thing in FW in my opinion, some match are decided after the first 5 minutes, having to play another 20 mins in a hopeless situation is not fun IMHO.

CW mode is a competitive scene, so the worst this to do is to be a PUG bringing 4 LRM builds (I saw one a day before).
Problem get solved by:
1. Joining a unit for coordination and learning.
2. Reading metamechs.com cause you are playing against min-maxing meta people.
Then the event would be fun. Had a few drops with my unit. One especially epic when we did dropzone rush in the beginning of a drop and got them one permadead. Then we made them think we're doing the same, but instead we got their reactors. Those clanners were pissed off because we did what they are usually doing themselves - getting to dropzone. But according to lore it is IS who should be using sneaky bad *** tactics to defeat otherwise superior clans. So everything fine. Peace.

It has just struck me that you have to be staunched loyalist to be on a Clan side...

Finding the right people to play is priceless. If you find one that wants to lead and use mic, add him as friend and try to drop together because the event will start to look fun.
PS
The idea that clan more or less always win with their superior mech and tech is not supported by fact, while I found that a lot of beginners are on IS side (LRM, not pushing, not rushing for the gens, fighting clan mechs from distance etc) there are a lot of competent players on IS side and I had my fair share of beatings. IIRC, the ratio of clan wins vs IS wins is 55 vs 45...

Mercenaries saw the might of the Clans and thought that they'd be better to fight for them and get paid with this new currency called "Honor". They even have a "Remembrance" tab going!

In lore the Warrior Caste would never hire mercenaries, but captured warriors who were found to be worthy could be accepted into the Warrior Caste as "abtahka" and could eventually even earn blood names. Sometimes, though, the Merchant Castes of some clans would hire mercenaries for jobs that the Warrior Caste decided were beneath them.

[IDI] was busting tail (ours and others!) to get a swing in scouting and get a some Invasion wins... We had some great games and many a clanner learn to fear our 3 urbie/ 1 oxide scouting group (and yes, 4-man groups on the other side at least twice if not more).
I know we weren't the only ones dropping, but all we can do is try to take care of our own business and let the chips fall where they may...

Wolf clan send recon merc unit to IS before Invasion. Sooooo we can imagine that every merc unit is a clan unit, but sometime undercover.

Clan Wolf nearly had to fight a trial to get the Crusader Clans to postpone the invasion and allow the Dragoons to "scout" the IS. Clan Warriors posing as IS mercs was only done once until after Tukayyid, when a unit of Clan Jade falcon warriors posed as the Red Coursair pirates so they could attack the IS "without violating the truce".
