Don't mind Davion. Steiner isn't bad (although Carver V will forever be in my thoughts). I don't have many thoughts about Marik. Liao and Kurita are the worst (primarily because Kurita already hates us and I have encountered some real Kuritan jerks/trolls). Liao is just traitorous.

Davion are a bunch of evil jerks too, it's just that everyone glosses over it. Their ruler gave his bride the fourth freaking succession war as a WEDDING PRESENT!

So? It ain't called Peacetech. Hanse had within his grasp another 20% of the IS and took the chance. If ComStar hadn't interdicted him, he'd have had AT LEAST another 10%. What the interdiction was, was the powers that were (aka the writers) going oh %^%$ we are going to give them too much and even in spite of the Clan invasion coming, they are going to be able to field so much that pretty soon it WOULD BE Peacetech. Because like it or lump it, the FedCom would have had so many manufacturing facilities, and the money to build more, and a defacto peace with Marik that they could have out produced Any two houses and a clan or any of the invading clans.

No the Comstar interdiction was a quick and dirty, "We gave them too much", and Hanse is no worse and darn side better than 75% of the leaders that have ever graced the IS thrones.

After looking into the lore of Battletech with what limited resource's I have, I would say my Despise would first and foremost go to Both COMSTAR and WORD OF BLAKE. assinations, brainwashing, nukes, manipulation, all around mustache twirling, blond girl tied onto the rail tracks, stealing from babies, claiming to be gods among men, BAD GUYS!! But if you forced me to choose a house I might say Lia. (pretty much for the same reasons.)

I'm not saying it's a bad thing (well, I am, but no worse than the other houses) to be an evil jerk, I'm pointing out the fact that House Davion isn't excluded as Pht seems to think. Your statement that Hanse is better than 75% of all IS rulers...excluding the SL (which I'll assume you weren't including, as well as the FWL, due to it's democratic nature, plus Hanse himself), there are ~139 rulers of the DC, FS, LC, and CC. This means that Hanse was a better ruler than 104 different rulers. Now, let's see how many succession wars there were...1...2...3...4...huh, only four, which means that Hanse caused 25% of the most devasting wars of the Inner Sphere. It was larger than the third, but not the second or first, so that means that only 2 other rulers caused worse wars. He's in the top three for destructive IS wars pre-3050. Not quite the best.

In RP I would maintain that all houses are inferior to Kurita and should immediately surrender and finally join their true destiny serving the Coordinator.

Separate of RP, a jerk is a jerk and a troll is a troll regardless of affiliation. There are pilots I respect because they have earned it and their House doesnt matter.
