name an interesting character in davion history besides hanse.

victor is a wannabe ruler who could

kai is the avatar of angst

katherine is more a steiner

peter is more a steiner

does anyone actually remember their other kids?

Justin is basically the asian james bond.

Candace is a liao

Morgan is basically a noble who is a warrior but is also a prince, and really nothing else.

Redburn i really can't think of him as anything but a list of accomplishments.

in the dark ages it gets slightly better. Caleb might have been a psycho, but at least he was an interesting psycho. I actually liked julian.

Ardan Sortek (to whom MWO's "Dragon Slayer" Victor variant is attributed)?

It's funny that people hate FRR because ''It's not a real nation''.

Maybe not in battletech universe (in comparison to other houses), but in the game I see FRR more than Davion, Marik and Liao combined. The only thing I see clearly more is Steiner.

A good chunk of what you're seeing as "FRR" are likely traitors in your midst, looking to jump ship to the Clans at the first opportunity... :D

Most of the clanners play as lone wolfs I think. At least so many have said me that they will join clans as soon as they can.

Nope. All Ghostbears (that's like 1/3rd of the Clan fans) and a lot of those who know exactly what happens to FRR in 3050 had made FRR accounts in hopes of becoming bondsmen once the Clans hit... sure this didn't turn out that well, but a decent number of them never bothered to switch the loyalty avatar.

you liked Julian ok now I know I am dealing with a stupid psycho who likes dictators who murder on carver v and help stiener murder on carver v, and who claim planets who aren't theirs like let me see new aragon, caph, Mallory's world which fun fact here lost 76 million civillians to liao because their leader said in his own words he'll murder anyone he wants to get what he wants and also for your info the only evil leader davion saw was victor who yes I have to admit it was the most evil leader the inner sphere saw

i will just quote one thing towards this statement.

Hanse Davion murdered 100 million people and left another half-billion casualties in the Fourth Succession War alone! And if that were not enough for him, ten years later he went to war again. - Sun-Tzu Liao.

Yep. And had a better publicist. After all history is like warfare. He who get's there firstest with the mostest can usually outlast the truth of the moment. AND since the TPTB are in love with Davion. Liao gets bent over and used, then discarded, then they get to play with the Andurians (do it again and I will make sure that Marik forces don't stop until people that brainstormed that bright idea are loaded face first into a Guass Rifle and are splattered across the the nearest Masraka building. Spelling out "DON'T DO IT AGAIN". And if there aren't enough people to do that, I'll find "volunteers".

Kurita. They were the bad guys in the first PC game and it just stuck with me.

That is the old C64 one with Youngblood as the main character and you play a Steiner stuck on the planet?

If i had to choose a great house, it'd be fedcom. Either Davion or Steiner. I naturally gravitate towards davion but i do like steiner. I hate katherine though. That ***** is just repulsive.

I agree, She is one of the most manipulative, cold-hearted, powerhungry Archons I've ever heard of.

Hey me too! I hate Marik for three reasons as well. They are a failure a house and they shoot themselves as much as they do the enemy. Yet they called themselves our ancient enemies, pathetic. They are a constant threat to our borders and they need to be stopped. Last, these guys are nothing more than WOB puppets fighting for their stupid master. It's nice to know that there is a fellow Marik-hater in House Steiner besides me.

Also, Steiner Blue > Marik Purple

I dislike the Lyrans but they are brothers in arms. I hate the people of House Kurita, mostly for the Kentares Massacre and for dishonorable actions in the field.

Civil War era FedCom.

The Civil War was stupid*, the main characters behind it were stupid, and the whole thing was poorly handled. White hat vs Black hat, when neither side should have been good/evil. Pretty much all the fluff writing quality dropped like a rock in this period. Steiner & Davion both turned into parodies of themselves. Everything interesting in the BTU happened outside of these factions in this period.

I'm rather sure it wasn't my imagination, though, because it was during this period FASA stopped paying all their writers. Half of Stackpole's books before he stopped writing never even got him paid.

* The framework was fine but the execution sucked.

EDIT: I won't get into what happened post-Jihad though. The fact that Dark Ages literally includes an ****** [Brother & Sister DNA, given the worst is censored - heh] clone baby says it all.
