I can't say I understand at all how a faction being commonly depicted with a 'good' moral alignment automatically means they have no 'character'. Just because Davion has been used as the protagonist's faction in a lot of BT games doesn't mean that every member of the faction is automatically a 'white knight'... They just happen to not have a lot of mentally deficient and/or overly-oppressed people because their government doesn't suck...

That said, I despise Liao the most.

The two houses I hate the most are House Marik and House Kurita.

Here's why I hate them.

House Kurita: These samurai wannabes are intolerant swines who believe that they are better than everyone else and it's either their way or the highway. Another reason I hate them is for their atrocities they've caused on the Kentares Massacre, if there were any Davions being harassed by Kuritans, then I've got their backs.

House Marik: To be honest though, I actually used to like House Marik before I read more about their history. First of all, the Free Worlds League is a mess of a House. Basically they act more like a zoo rather than a unified house. Each sub faction has their own government which makes it hard to deal with them. They made the adage to "shoot a Lyran on sight" but they can't even do that when they are too busy fighting among themselves. The only redeemable quality about House Marik is Thomas "Marik" who at least does a good job trying to unify them.

Now traditionally House Davion has clashed most with House Liao over the years but objectively no house has produced as many maniacs as Liao and are the only HOUSE to come close to the atrocities Clan Smoke Jaguar performed. (as far as individuals go though, Katherine Steiner-Davrion is ***** with bewbs.)

Also im bitter about the reabsorption of the St.Ives Compact.

Marik for sure. No patriotism, stupid paint schemes, and to make it worse, they allow the Wobblies to stir ***** up right under their very noses, almost causing the collapse of the IS. I hate Marik (in a game sense) in the world of MWO, probably Liao, but only because of the goons.

House Steiner. I will admit however that my first exposure to Battletech was MechCommander 2. Colonel Renard certainly did not paint a good picture of Lyrans.
