Thank God it comes with negative quirks. 4 missile hardpoints on 30 ton mech is just game breaking OP stuff that should have never ever been put into the game. Truly, the power creep is real.

Negaquirks on a 30 ton IS mech? Are you CENSOR THIS kidding me? That had better be a typo.

Can someone please explain how the -HT is not pay to win? Best quirks of the bunch, and the only one with leg buffs, all behind a paywall.

I think this is a sign of things to come... I mean, I prefer armor quirks to structure, but skill tree - kinda meh.

But I wil be taking advantage of AMS quirks, have to do something the first half of the tickle fight...

It's more like just the wrong colour. +10% Cooldown is a pretty common quirk Posted Image

That really better be a typo with the red color quirks. Better not be a negative quirk. I don't see the Javelin as warranting negative quirks.

Okay, are these numbers correct?

Negative quirks on the STD variants? Positive quirks on the reinforcement? And only structure quirks on the Hi-There?


Why are there still debug strings listed for the presumed AMS fire rate?

I guess the color is just wrong, because ingame the cooldown quirks got a + too. The other line I don't know.
Waiting for excuse number....actually I lost count.

An IS light mech, with negative quirks.... Really? Cause IS mechs with their XL engines in a mech with HUGE side torsos needs to be nerfed before it even enters play?

Ya know, I once reported Patch Notes and other official Announcements to Moderation for clarification when something wonky shows up (like things that appear to be typos) but Moderation says they really don't like that because they can't edit anything from the Devs, and would rather we send ourr observations to Support...

I don't want to spam support, though. I hope they notice these negative quirks and fix/address them.

I am hoping it all comes down to them being coded in the wrong color, but the quirks themselves are in the correct direction. The text indicates that the quirks are positive (good), but the coloration is what makes them look negative.

Hey everyone, I need to come in and clear a few things up.


First off, these quirks are not accurate. We do not intend to give the Javelin negative quirks. This image was taken a few days ago while we where in the process of changing some stuff over.


The reason this happened is due to a few backend changes that are coming in the way that quirks are handled. Specifically with the way that Cooldown quirks are listed.


In the current live game a "positive" cooldown quirk produces a positive result. We are inverting this dynamic so that a negative cooldown quirk results in a positive effect. So that it reads better when a node labled cooldown and has a negative percentile is a bit more clear as to its in-game effect. Naturally, this means that we then need to go in and change over all cooldown quirks to change this, and this image was taken prior to the Javelin receiving this change.


I have informed those in charge of the countdown about this and they are in the process of fixing this.


As another note, I would like to state that while it is not clear looking at these images as the final engine desync stats have not been released yet, the non-hero Javelins have higher then average base mobility values compared to other mechs of their tonnage. With the Hero being the only one excluded from the better mobility due to its structure based quirks.
