Actually I'm pointing out that you the playerbase wants accuracy in the patch notes.. this is something that takes a lot of time and based on the scale of this patch.. is something we do not want to rush.

Understood, but we also need to know what's coming so we can make critical decisions before the patch is released. A lot of guys are selling modules, buying mechs (or not buying/asking for refunds), etc. based upon what's in this patch, and many are waiting until they see confirmation of everything that has been discussed (which is wise IMO). So if the notes aren't available plenty in advance, there can be issues. I don't know how PGI's internal rollout structure works, but maybe delaying the patch a day isn't a bad idea.

Completely agree.. but we need to make sure you're making those decisions on the right information. It's a catch 22 situation. Frustrating on both sides I know. Just wanted to put the brakes on some of the more 'creative' suggestions as to why they're taking so long. :)

Not my area so can't really comment on it. But we do have hard locked dates that we try to adhere to for consistency.

tl;dr PGI doesn't care much about accuracy unless the playerbase QQs about minimum viable patch notes. It's also the player bases fault for over due documentation becaus they have a higher standard of expectations. (same applies to features while we are at it)

With all due respect, I can understand people are worried because people have a LOT of money already invested in this game;

However, with a massive patch hitting tomorrow, we would like to know what we're getting ourselves into before the bombshell drops.

If Alex is solely responsible for it, then perhaps someone else should help him out to finish these things in time; because as you just said " This is not a small patch of adding a 'Mech and a few decals here." then better make sure you can deal with it accordingly. This is not the first large patch you've done and I presume the company holds itself to certain standards.

" YOU guys are the ones who hammer on us for every missed detail in Patch Notes (which is understandable)."

And this is just "blaming" the community for the delay, pretty much. Be glad you have a passionate community, I'd say.

Making Pin Point do something and calling the current skill tree good could have saved a lot of time on Patch Notes... just a suggestion.
