LRMs are still in "mediocre" territory unless you're just starting out with the game, and don't need any nerfs currently. And I played back when R&R was around. It was horrible, and not fun at all. If R&R gets re-added to this game, it'll be the death knell of any weapon system that isn't energy based, and a new age of cowardly play.
Do We Need To Start Thinking About Lrm Rearm Costs?

Besides, LRMs are already nerfed. They don't even have their full range by default now. Either way, LRMs are a part of MechWarrior/Battletech just as much as PPCs, lasers, autocannons, and everything else. Don't like it? Either deal with it or play something else.
As many others have mentioned, taking cover, ECM, and AMS all exist and are available to help deal with your LRM dilemma.

Ammo costs would change nothing at all, people who run lots of lrms are already space rich because lrms generate cbills really quickly, and using rearm costs to try to balance it just means the poors get **** on by space Romney.

Indeed, sibko.

LMFAO, oh god, not again.
LRMs = average, maybe. The damage spreads, a lot. There is travel time, ease of rolling damage, AMS to contend with, it can easily be deflected by cover from long distance indirect fire. The list goes on, its far from perfect.

ROTFL!
---
Yes R&R should come back. Doubt it will happen because much of our playerbase couldn't cope with having mixed loadouts and running cost efficient the first time around.
Balance mechanics = bad
Buffs = good
Broken and poorly implemented stuff is almost always only an "issue" until the next mech pack is released, and if it persists to be an issue PGI probably won't correct it anyhow.
The endless cycle of MWO.

The only problem is that there are still plenty of derps so if you end up teamed with 4-5 800m hiders you'll get rolled too fast to do much.

I'm normally on the other side of this one, and I'm not saying they're OP, but being able to get target decay + sensor range + info gathering for minimal investment at the same time that a lot of people are dropping radar derp and ECM? Yeah, they're stronger than they were pre-patch, let's not beat around the bush. I played some test games and pretty much across the board it was easier to get locks, hold locks, and hit enemies after they moved to break the lock. There were a lot of targets that continued to get railed long enough that they must've had no radar derp nodes at all.

I do get damaged significantly more by LRMs than I used to. I simply do not find myself able to spare the amount of skill points I need to get radar dep on any of my 'mechs. Still though, even though they are better, they are by no stretch of the imagination in need of a nerf or any flavor of OP. Nothing's truly changed about LRMs except it's easier to get locks now. LRMs were a really terrible weapon system. Now they are marginally better, maybe even effective. Though I doubt they will find their way into the meta. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with a weapon system being effective.

If you dont use the counters, you dont have the right to moan about lrms!
If you still cry, you will look stupid and a little bit "special",
because its a very simple correlation you dont understand.

Sure some complain about the new tree but everyone loves repair and rearm.
It kinda makes more sense as a chill sink.
This said... R&R is an idea I love... But MWO is in such a sad state that there is no room for R&R. Not with the way MWO is.

i've seen 6xLRM10 MDD's out there.. 4xLRM10 summoner w/ narc... heck trebuchets are making a little comeback cause of thier missile quirks one of them has narc +100... dropping narcs on people at 625m and fading back for lolz is pretty nice.. Apparently its gotten so bad i've seen kodiaks sporting LRMs.. LRM awesomes are not uncommon and stalkers are still everywhere. and theres at least one cat per match..
sometimes i wish for the old one tube launcher on the raven with all the AMS out there... put lrm on it and spray out lrms in a wide arc on the horizon, watch for all the AMS to go up in the air and you knew where the enemy was.. ez mode scouting..

I agree.
Just that actual resource management sounds good. As a player and not a pro whiner.
This game has no economy and it should. Anyone doesn't like this idea hates the game and should be completely ignored.
