ok I do belive this new tree system has some benefits but can anyone tell me why all the innerspher heavy mechs start with less speed then they used to have? I maxed all of my top speed nods for my highlander and its still slower then 54 kph Speed I not all a heavy mech needs but it does need to be what we originly started with otherwise what's up with this?

sorry I ment assult mech both clan and IS. with the launch of the annilator mech coming out and with this tree system nerfing speed from the original this will suck bigg time. A patch is needed badly or a redo of the tree once again.

yes you are right - but it feels as if this happens to all weight classes...

It did. Speed across the board was dropped for inner sphere.
Iirc, I believe it's their attempt to diversify the appeal of all the engines available in the overall inventory.

What do you mean? Movement speed or agility (turn/twist/accel)?
There was no change to Engine -> movement-speed values.
Speed can only be changed by skilling Speed-Tweak -> same 7.5% as before in the Elite skill.
Only difference is now that agility is tied to the base values of the chassis (per tonnage) and only gain slight benefits for larger engines + you can skill these stats how you want them without losing the skill benefit if you downgrade the engine.

what I see though is I need to use up most of my nod just to get it up to speed. How is that better then what we had?
